Webcam i have trust webcam 15007, it should be ready for use but doesn't work or pick up a cam in windows messenger

would start out by testing if the webcam works in any other software. For example if you got any software to go with the cam to set it up. If the webcam works in other software you follow these steps:
Open the messenger menu in Yahoo! Messenger and click My Webcam.
There you click on File and then Preferences.
That should open an options window. From there you go to Webcam or Webcam Broadcast.
There you'll find a button that says "Camera Source".
Make sure that the selected Webcam there is the one that you're using and click OK.

Otherwise if your computer doesn't recognize the webcam at all I would suggest to reinstall the drivers for the cam. You can either find them on a CD that you got with the cam, or if you didn't get one you can go to the manufacturers webpage and look for "Drivers", it's usually found under "Support" or a similar section of the page. Find the driver that matches your webcam and operating system (such as Windows 7 or XP etc.)
When you've downloaded them, install the file you got, follow the instructions and restart your computer and then try again. It should fix your problem.

1**. Double click my computer then double click USB Video Device.
You can see your self then. If the USB Video Device not showing
there then you have to install the cam first.


2. Power On the laptop/PC & after ready your OS for work just put
your Webcam driver disk in DVD/CD RW/ROM. when its open, that
time just select webcam driver and install it as per your operating
system(Vista or XP). So do it, and after finish installation ,restart the
laptop. Your will see your cam is ready for use.
Then follow again the first instruction.**


3. When you confirm after viewing your self in cam , then stop it. Now login on messenger & click to connect the cam from messenger. If any doubt then then ask me a again. Thanks & waiting for your feed back.

Withotu Driver Cd or Cam driver you can't install the webcam. If you are windows & user then its auto installed. Otherwise download the driver from the net
& please follow the steps.

1. Power On the laptop & after ready your OS for work just put your Creative driver DVD in DVD RW/ROM. when its open, that time just select webcam driver and install it as per your operating system.
So do it and after finish restart the laptop. Your will see your cam is ready for use.
3. Double click my computer then double click USB Video Device.

4. When you confirm after viewing your self in cam , then stop it. Now login on messenger & click to connect the cam from messenger. If any doubt then then ask me a again.

Check your privacy settings...

When you start windows live messenger - there is no programme using your webcam. I.e Instant capture or any specific programmes running your webcam are turned off?

In windows live messenger - Can you see your webcam listed to use for video calls?

try this it may help, go to google and type windows messenger download, try downloading this again and it may pick up the web cam....i had windows live messenger installed and i downloaded it again and it picked up my web cam and its the same one you have. this may help you. when i first got my web cam set up i had no voice but after tinkering with it i got voice etc...
