Question about Fargo DTC510 Card Printer
Printing to a DTC510 on Ccure 800 Security system. Preview and Print badge tabs gray out overnight. Can clear problem by restarting starting Ccure system. Ideas on why this is happening?

SOURCE: Printer ribbon broke in half
Not sure what your question is??? Must have been a defective card that caused the ribbon to split. Or the ribbon was worn and happened to split on that card. I hate when that happens. Please repost if you have further questions. Tim

unfortunatly is sounds like a "print head" type of problem. By printhead I am refering to the assembly that causes the film to transfer to the card. I would suggest creating a card project that has a full photo as the background. This will show you if the streak runs the length of the card. It could just be dirt or an obstruction in the card path. Try the alcohol cleaning cards. Dissassembly of this printer is a crap shoot. I have done it once. It is one of those things that is best left to someone good at printers or best by someone experienced on these. if all else fails call a dealer like Datacard and ask about depot repair.

This is very a very common problem!
Fortunately, it's really easy to fix too;
Go to your 'Printers & Faxes' folder. Right-click on 'Magicard Printer Series'.
Select 'Properties'. Click on the 'Device Settings' tab.
Select the correct printer model in the drop-down list (Tango 2);
I suspect you currently have 'Tango' selected.

ask for the service personnel if it's your new printer
try to attach a scanned copy of your batch print to my mail for further support at email@example.com. also mention your operating system and application software through which you print your ID Batch

Here's a manual if you don't already have one:
Loosen the plastic thumbscrews that tighten the printhead down onto the ribbon and media. Perhaps there's too much pressure, not allowing the media to advance.
Also just try to reset it to the factory defaults.
Hold down FEED and PAUSE while you power up. When it's finished resetting, press MODE 4 times to save the settings. I've had to do this quite often with ours.
