Question about Sony Grand WEGA KDP-65WS550 65" Rear Projection HDTV
If it's a Sony LCD projection, you may have a light blob. It's caused by a defect in the LCD chip Sony manufactured for all of these TVs. You'll need to replace the chip by buying a new light engine, or finding someone that can do the repair for you.
Sony had a recall on these, but not everyone got a fix. The lamp's intense heat melts the LCD chip inside, so you'll need to replace that optical block eventually.
