Problem for Cuisinart DGB-300 Coffee Maker

Clock blinks, doesn't start

Not sure what the deal is but when I plug it in the clock blinks 12:00 and won't start. But then after 30 secs it turns off itself and nothing happens. I have no clue what the deal is. I have checked out the circuitry but it looks fresh and clean and I see nothing apparent that is wrong. Help I need COFFEE!
