Question about Washing Machines

Pulling my hair out with confusion!

Hello - I am sure hoping that you can point me in the right direction as I deal with the frustration of my washing machine. I'm having trouble with my Roper Top Loading Washer - RAS7233KQO Lately, I've been noticing that the clothes are left very wet after the washer is done. I began investigating the possiblities. The easiest was the timer and the lid switch - all is well with these two things. I then decided to begin watching different wash sessions to see what was going on. Everything progresses as it should until it reaches the spin cycle - kind of. When the washer has an average load in it, it either spins very slow or you can see it trying to spin or sometimes it won't spin at all. I then decided to test the washer by putting just a couple small items it it. I ran the washer. It reached the spin cycle and spun like crazy BUT - the couple of clothes that I put in were still very wet. Help! Is this a spin problem or a pump problem? What would you suggest we look into to diagnose the problem? Please point me in the right direction. Any help you could offer would be such a blessing to our family. Thanks and God Bless!

    My email is

Thanks for your helpful solution.  I will be willing to try anything you send.  I did want to make it clear that there is never much to very little standing water in the tub when the cycle is done.  I do hear sloshing water inside the "outer tub" like you stated.

    Thanks again.

As far as the standing water, I can hear it slosh sometimes, but there is not very much or very little visable inside the tube.

I would probably not focus on the pump but instead check the clutch/transmission assy. pull the cover off, is there oil spread across the inside cabinet apporx 12in. up on all 3 sides, thes an indicator of bad tranny, oil on clutch =intremmitten spin

How do I clean the brush and surrounding area?

Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.

When you are cleaning your brush, you can use scissors or a knife to cut the hair that are stuck. You may need to use your fingers to pull out the hair off and away the roller brush. You may also want to clean the bearings of the brush. Remove any hair or visible debris hat is stuck under the cup by pulling the hairs or brushing them off. Wipe with wet towel or tissue the housing of the brush if you see any dust or debris. Once you clean your brush and it's surrounding, you can put it back. Make sure that the belt is still fairly tight as it should be for optimal use by pulling the belt slightly.

Child lock does not come off

Some control panels are finicky--you have to press on the buttons just right to choose a selection. If your model is a touch-panel or soft-touch design, they can be frustrating sometimes to get the pair of buttons pushed just right--I'm an appliance tech and sometimes want to pull my hair out(I don't have much left, lol!) However, the problem could also be a defective user interface board(fancy name for control panel) or even a defective main board with corrupted programming. Make sure you press and hold the buttons long enough to remove the lock--usually 3-4 seconds but I've found that sometimes you have to hold the buttons significantly longer until the lock is disabled. Hope I helped you!

Can you wash your hair before applying texturizer

Hello! Oh please never wash your hair before you apply any chemical services to your scalp. The pores along your scalp remain open after washing your hair (think of it like your pores on your face opening when they are treated with water) in result any chemicals will cause burning across your head.

Best wishes with your upcoming texturizer, hope your hair turns out wonderfully and your scalp can remain happy too!

Which direction do you turn windage and elevation

To raise the point of impact, turn the elevation screw counterclockwise. To shift left, turn windage screw clockwise. If you raise the horizontal cross hair you will lower the point of impact of the bullet. If you move the vertical cross hair to the right the shot placement will go to the left. Make small adjustments tap the scope with a screwdriver handle to give it a shock, not to hard to help move the cross hairs and try to bore sight first. Hope this helps Fix ya up.

When I turn the turrets they go in the reverse direction, WHY

To raise the point of impact, turn the elevation screw counterclockwise. To shift left, turn windage screw clockwise. If you raise the horizontal cross hair you will lower the point of impact of the bullet. If you move the vertical cross hair to the right the shot placement will go to the left. Thats just the way it works. Point your right index finger at a spot on the wall, and sight down your finger like looking at sights, then take your left index finger and pretend it is a horizontal cross hair above your shooting finger, then raise your left finger a set amount above the right, then move your hands back to the shooting position not changing the distance in between, using your left finger now as the sight. You will see your shooting finger is now pointing lower than before. This is now the new point of impact, lower not higher. Hope this is clear as mud and helps Fix Ya up.

I need directions on how to use the Revlon ceramic Straightener model RVST2024

I love my hair straightener. It doubles for a clean modern straight look to sexy voluptuousness Kim Kardashian curls without going to the salon. If you do it right your hair will look professional and feel so soft.
1. Clean and Wash Hair: I always like to have clean hair before I style it, it isn't necessary but it makes me feel more refreshed.
2. Make sure your hair is dry. I prefer to air dry because it is the healthiest way to not damage your hair. But if you want to get more volume, using the blow dryer works well.
3. Before using any straightener make sure you get heat protector gel or spray because this will help make sure your hair does not become damaged when styling.
4. I like to split my hair up into sections to get them out of the way by using hair ties or hair clips. Sectioning your hair also helps a lot of if you have specific styles you are going for.
5. Finally, do not turn on the straightener too high because it's a sure way to damage your hair. Instead, consider low-med. If it's your first time, don't rush it because you will get burned. Give yourself an hour or more! Learning how to do it the first time can be frustrating and it doesn't always look great the first time. With some practice you can also create curls with a straightener as well.
Other tips: They have specific wet-dry straightener which can be used on wet hair but unless you have those, do not use the straightener with your wet hair because it'll give you split ends and damage your hair.
Here are some more tips for straightening that might be useful for you.

Same deal, looking into it right now, will post if

Fortunately Dell's have that option. When you first turn the unit on, hold down....Alt+F10. I think that's it....if not, I've gotten it confused with Acers, and Dell is Ctrl+F9. One of those will boot to the recovery partition, and restore the system to factory default software if you haven't changed the HDD or removed that partition.
