Yes this is because of the sensors on the back overheating. You need to stop the heat build up on the chips you can do this with a good repair guide or send it in.

Why won't my xbox read the game?

IMO Never Use a cleaning disc for Gaming consoles. Which Xbox 360 do you have? Is it the Older Model or newer one? You can Try Blowing into Your Xbox disc drive. Is your xbox up to date, you can unplug your xbox 360 and from the wall and the Xbox. Wait 25 Mins and Try again.

Xbox chewing up discs occasionally

The xbox 360 has a faulty disc drive that will occasionally chew up discs. The reason is that if you move the xbox while its reading a disc it will scratch it to hell but if it does it without movement during reading the disc you need to get a new xbox 360 or send it to microsoft

When you put a disc in it reads open tray.

Hello ckpynn,
I have had this problem myself with my own Xbox 360. From my experience, I have noticed that the issue is usually caused due to the Xbox not being able to read the disc. This could be due to the laser inside the Xbox is dirty or damaged - or it could be the disc itself. I never attempted to repair this because I found that after about 5 or more tries, my Xbox was able to read the disc.
When you open the tray to put the disc in or to try and get the Xbox to read it, try rotating the disc a little bit and insert again.
If this doesn't work, you may need to contact Microsoft technical support for further assistance.

Disc drive is out, needs replaced, but inorder to replace it you must keep the original drive. You can either order one online and follow these instructions to do it ureself (recommended) or email [email protected] for a pricing for repair.

My xbox 360 is not reading any disc. I tried cleaning the dics, I tried new disc and still not reading disc.

If your Xbox 360 is not reading your discs you need to stop the heat build up on the receptors at the back of the dvd drive.

To do this you need an Xbox 360 Repair guide or to send it back
