Question about IBM ThinkPad A31 Notebook
You killed the laptop with out a UPS and you get a power surge with a dead battery them laptop takes the surge and kills the computer. You can remove the battery and unplug the power supply and hold the power button down for a minute then plug the power back in without the battery and try pushing the power button to see if it comes on if it does your lucky. IF it does not put the battery back in and try again. if There is still no power you have killed the power converter or killed the computer.
