Use internet explorer to open it. OR go to my computer address bar and click on the arrow on right side and select C Drive from drop down menu. then it will open.

Its happening because there is autorun.inf virus in your c drive. you can find it after enabling hidden folders from the folder options menu. you need to create a autorun.inf file in notepad and replace it with that.

If you're talking about some of your web browser faves, then you can use Internet Explorer's built-in 'export' feature, or even Chrome's, so I'll tell you how to do that next. But the way I like to do it, if it's Internet Explorer, is like this:
  1. Find your 'My Computer' or 'Computer' icon on your desktop and double-click it, or, if it's not there, in your Start Menu (at bottom left, click your 'Start' button, then click on 'My Computer' or 'Computer' in the right column).
  2. Now, double-click on your 'C:' drive (a.k.a. 'Local Disk', 'System', 'Windows', etc.).
  3. In Vista and '7', double-click on 'Users'. If you're using 'XP', double-click on 'Documents and Settings', then 'Users'...
  4. Double-click on your User Name.
  5. Find the 'Favorites' folder and RIGHT-CLICK IT, then left-click on 'Send To', then left-click on the Letter assigned to your Flash Drive (':E', ':F', etc.).
  6. That's it! You should have an entire copy of your faves on your Cruzer, so go to it and check (you should be able to look through all your links; double-click some to see if you go to that page!).
NOW--the boring, old, NORMAL way (for Internet Explorer Version 8, and maybe 7):
  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click on 'Favorites', then click on the little down-arrow next to the words 'Add to Favorites'.
  3. Now click 'Import and Export', then click 'Export to a File', then 'Next'.
  4. Check-mark only 'Favorites', then click 'Next'.
  5. Your Favorites folder should come up automatically in the pop-up browser Window, so click 'Next' again.
  6. At this point, you can choose to send it directly to your Flash Drive, or wherever it's going to go by default, then find that file and copy it to your Cruzer, so--you guessed it--I'm going to tell you to just click 'Browse', find your Cruzer's 'drive letter' again from that drop-down, and then click 'Export'.
  7. Done!
When performing this procedure the 'Windows' way, be careful not to do it over twice, as you'll end up with doubles, then triples, etc. I like 'My' way because you can then go into the resulting folders now on your Cruzer and navigate through them, deleting any you see you don't want to carry around with you!
S'fun! Hope this helps! Mike

Please explain what is meant when a person requests me to "open your browser" Where is it? on my computer? Thanks Carol

Applications like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Googlechrome are called Browsers. When you are asked to open the browser, it simply means to open any of the above mentioned application, maybe Internet explorer or firefox or googlechrom etc..... etc.. When you are asked to do so, just double click the application or open it from the "All Programs" by clicking "Start" on your "desktop"

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Have you tried another browser? like Mozilla firefox or google chrome? Adobe flash player doesnt work on 64-bit Internet explorer and that usually is the cause of your problem. You can try opening a 32-bit internet explorer on your system though and check if youtube will work.

click on my computer, then double click on drive C. Look for the folder that has X86 on it. open it and look for the internet explorer folder. open it again and then double click on the icon that says Iexplore. It will open a 32-bit internet explorer. if that wont work. go to and download firefox.

Hope this helps.

the SSID is only the name which your connection is called.
If you have security enabled, you will need to type in the passkey when asked.

First go to internet explorer open it and go to tools>connections tab, then tick 'never dial a connection' and close I. Explorer.

go to control panel>network connections>right click on your wireless connection icon, then go to the TCP/IP line, highlight it, click properties, then select 'Obtain IP address automatically.

Select Ok, then close window, go to internet explorer, then open it up and you may need to click refresh a few times ,but should connect

    Opening of drives

I have seen this several times and it is brought about due to a virus that creates an autorun file (autorun.ini).

In this file when you double click the drive, executes the file and in the autorun file exists any of the following: -
    .... or many others.

It is good thing that you have a strong antivirus which seems to have removed the viruses and therefore when the information file is opened, it does not find the executables it was supposed to run. That is why it asks for a program to open.

You can prove this by right clicking on the drive to see a shortcut menu and in this menu, the bolded menu will be the action taken when double clicked and the possibility is that you will find Autorun bolded.

To resolve the issue do the following:
    1) Open My computer program or windows explorer.
    2) Right click on the drive and open or explore it.
    3) Locate the file Autorun and delete it. If the file is not shown, from the folder options choose show all files. This is because sometimes this file may be hidden.

Try double clicking the drives again to see if you get he same error.

NOTE: Many virus developers have made possible for people to install/run viruses in there own computers by simply double clicking the drives like flash disk.
