- I have same problem too. I have a Bosch Maxx.
Suddenly drum doesn't turn but timer is clicking as if it's reading the wash programme OK.
It's not a clog because I can fill and drain the machine on any wash or rinse setting just fine. The drum just doesn't turn to wash, rinse or spin.
Someone on another forum suggested the carbon brushes. If anyone has a DIY solution to enable to to find these brushes and replace then, that would be brill. -

- Everything is working on the machine and it sounds like it is operating, but drum is not turning. Belt is connected properly, i've cleared outlet pipe....water is running through machine as it should for washing cycles, but still the drum is not turning. When i move belt and drum it turns easily, but just not when machine has to operate itself??? P.S.: I have the washer/tumble dryer combo front load machine and even the tumble dry section is working, but without the drum turning??? Help!!! ;-(- Guest Jun 15, 2008

- I have a hotpoint aquarius extra WMA34 and the drum has stopped spinning, it appears to fill and drain ok but makes a buzzing/cracking noise when due to spin but then does nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.-

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.
