Question about Quantum 13Gb FIREBALL CX 3.5" IDE HD p/n CX13A011 13 GB Hard Drive
The only reason for needing firmware for a HDD no matter what kind it is would be if the HDD has some kind of utility embedded on it
such as like one touch back up , I have never heard of an internal
HDD needing firmware . the HDD are static and need to be formatted before using them . other than that there isn't even
a driver , and I recommend if the internal drive does has some kind of utility on it don't use it especially for the master C: drive , the one
that holds your operating system , thus will cause critical errors
and make your computer fail .
