It seems like from what you stated in your posts that you have a faulty microphone in the ds, if it is still in warrenty then yes your best bet is to take it back to the shop.

Ok, now you should perform a MIC test first.
To verify that the Nintendo DSi's built-in microphone is working properly. How to test the microphone:
On the System Settings Menu, go to page 3, then select "MIC TEST."
Speak into the microphone. The volume bar will fill up with coloured bars when it picks up sound.
If the volume bar does not fill up, check whether anything is connected to the headset port.
If the volume bar responds, then the microphone is working properly.

I have an RCA Tablet RCT6773W22 Android Version 4.4.2 The tablet is in Silent Mode.

I'm betting the volume switch is actually stuck and that the sound is just going down to "silent" the moment you release the "up" button. Does the sound get loud and just fade away? If so then that's probably it.

Does the vivitar vivicam XX14v2 record sound? I recorded a video and I couldn't hear any sound. Please help

Here is the manual for the camera. I am thinking that you probably have to play video on the computer or something with speakers to get sound. Having said that, I don't see a microphone on the front of the camera. It is a digital camera that ALSO takes video, not a dedicated Video Camera.

Havingsaid that, I just did a search of the manual for 'sound'. I found this

Silent Mode Menu
You have the option of activating the camera's 'Silent Mode' to disable all of the sound effects (except for beeps heard during the Self-Timer countdown) that the camera emits when performing camera functions.
Note: This does not affect the sound during video recording.

I have a vivicam X225 camrera. I recorded a clip lastnight and when i downloaded it onto my laptop there was no sound. How do i change the volume or get the sound back? Please help

Hello Midda034 - Your camera has no video sound capability. It only shoots silent video.

You would have to have a higher quality digital camera for such features.

Sorry about the bad news and thanks for using Fix Ya.

Audio in playback mode doesn't work

Hi There, Try this: Connect you camcorder to your tv set via a/v input cable. Put camera in cam mode so you can see the picture on the tv. Turn up the volume on tv and if it squeels, the mic on the cam is ok. Record something and then play it back on the tv, if its ok, then all your audio is functioning. This means that the SPEAKER on your camera is defective.
Thanks, mr cicmo

Sound Recording problem

Don't know if your problem exactly like mine, but playing back recordings in the camera always have weak sound. However when editing the clips using Imagemixer 3 on your computer, the sound is louder and you can boost it even further with the "Adjust Volume" function of Imagemixer.

Movie mode function

The movie mode function allows you to record short movie clips. The recorded movies can be played back or stored as still images using the cameras index function. Please note that the D-390 does not record sound in the movie mode.
