Posting to a "wall" is like sending an email to someone but anyone can see it. You are commenting to an individual.....but it is for all to view.

How to check uptime-downtime statuses of some popular websites

The words, Yahoo! Mail is down, Facebook is down, Twitter is down, etc..etc.. are very common and these are very annoying to hear since we are not reported what's going on and what's the problem is. Few websites like, facebook, twitter, etc.. update their statuses on other social networking sites immediately eg. facebook updates it on Twitter or Twitter updates on Facebook but there are many more websites which they don't seem to bother about this. May be I am wrong when I say "they don't seem to bother..", but I can say, since they never update their statuses publicly visible anywhere.
There is a website called "downrightnow.com" where we can check the statuses of few websites including Yahoo!Mail, Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, and many more though we can't see the complete details about the problem, we can at least know the status/es. Follow this LINK to visit the website, you'll see several websites listed there with several buttons like "Details" or "Report an Issues" on the right hand side of every website name. If a website name section (column) background is highlighted with red (faded orange), it means the website is down as per users' reports. But if the website name section (column) is green, then it indicates that the website is "up". If you have problem opening a website, say eg. click "Yahoo!Mail" or the "Details" button, and check out i.e. the status of the selected website within 24 hours. You can also report your issue by clicking the "Report an Issue" button. Where you will see three options :
    1. This service is down..

    2. I can reach the service but I am having problem..

    3. Never-mind, the service is working fine..

Click anyone of the links to report your issue, and your feedback will be automatically submitted. You can report issue only once in 24 hours per website.
    Hope this helps.

    Your comment is highly appreciated.

Twitter Over Capacity Error Have you been seeing the Twitter Is Over Capacity...

    Twitter Over Capacity Error

    e2c5f0b.png

Have you been seeing the Twitter Is Over Capacity screen alot recently?
Have you wondered what the Twitter Over Capacity error means?

Generally you will see the Twitter Whale when either trying to login to Twitter or to tweet via web using an auto-logged-in browser instance.

The Twitter Is Over Capacity screen generally means that Twitter's network of computers is not able to respond to your request. This could be due to:

    • A Denial of Service (DOS) attack against Twitter. This means that so many computers have been set to repeatedly access twitter as fast as they can, that the Twitter network computers can simply not keep up to the volume of demand.
    • System Maintenance. Infrastructure improvement can warrant temporarily disabling services for network administration.
You can review Twitter's status at the Twitter Status Page.

Just because you cannot login to Twitter, or post from their webpage, does not mean you cannot still use google to search tweets for you. Nor does it mean you cannot still post new tweets and twitter status updates via sms messaging or via API for example.

    I hope that helps.

I am trying to find out if someone says contact me at (@) what does that mean how can i contact him with no email adress.thats all i have to go on what does (@)means please help me

    Hi there,
It's a twitter thing. Essentially you may contact this person on the twitter website by typing the at symbol (@) and then the username of said person. For example, if the person says to contact them at @brianwilson, then you'd simply log in to twitter, and post @brian wilson, then a message
"@brianwilson I figured out how to contact you!"
You may sometimes use this for contacting via facebook. Seeing as @brianwilson appears to be the person's name, you can search for "brian wilson" on facebook.

Facebook is down at the moment and unfortunately the website where we can check the Live status of websites like Facebook.com or twitter.com etc.. isn't accessiblt. They haven't updated the current status on twitter, I'll update you once I get more information about the disruption.

    Good Luck.

Is it possible to tweet directly from my facebook account?

    Download 'social Tweet'.
For some reverse Facebook and Twitter action, Social Tweet enables you to tweet from your Facebook profile. This app works well for those social media users that prefer to remain on Facebook as the center of their social networking activity hub, and operate other social media sites and services accordingly. Social Tweet will update both your Facebook and your Twitter status, while also providing a way to selectively post tweets as your Facebook status updates
