Question about Transcend 32GB ExpressCard SSD, MLC 32 GB Hard Drive
Almost all the time when this occurs the problem is that the "write protect" feature of the memory device has been pushed into the on position.
Check the device and make sure this small mechanical switch/tab has not been moved into the write protect position.
If that isn't the case than it may be a formatting problem with the unit.
Transcend has formatting utility to deal with that. Go to that website at this URL: http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/DLCenter/
enter your unit model number and download the "mFormat" utility. It may ask you for the serial number of your drive. Give it. Format the drive. Several times if the first time doesn't correct the issue. Others with similar problems report it may not work the first time but does by the second or third.
Hope that helps.
