Question about Sony BRAVIA KDL52XBR2 Television
My TV was working fine the night before, when I turned it on this morning there was no sound except for the occasional breakthrough of sound. I have unplugged/plugged in the audio out cables several times with no fix. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Yep, same problem with mine. After many trial fixes, I discovered that it's the HDMI connection. I tried two different new HDMI cables in two of HDMI ports on the TV, but still got intermittent sound. The only way I solved it was going to component cables (RGB) with a separate audio cable. Works great now. Other Web sites say that HDMI connections do not always electronically "handshake" well between devices. Not sure how this HDMI problem can be permanently fixed, but using the component connection works fine.

Had same problem. I agree it's HDMI problem in HiDef only. Switch to a non hidef channel and back again...will work fine
