Question about Compaq Presario 1610-1655, 1805, 1810, Keyboard MP701007
Try removing the CMOS battery from the motherboard for about 10-15 seconds and then re-inserting it (It looks like a round watch battery only bigger).
You could also try a free utility that you burn to a blank CD using ImgBurn. Go to http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/ and about half way down the page you will see cd080802.zip (~3MB), download that and burn it to a blank CD using ImgBurn which can be found at http://www.imgburn.com. Make sure you boot the computer to CD ROM.
Good Luck :)
