You will need at least a 20AMP BREAKER.
2100 Watts. at 115V = 18.2 Amps.. therefore your breaker MUST be more than that, to allow for inrush current in the event the oven is left on high when connected.

Old home, a electrical outlet actually has a fuse connected right to it. How to replace/install a regular outlet plug? I have a pic, but site doesn't appear to have a place to attach it.

electrical work is not for DIY
some one has messed with the electrical wiring of the house so get in an accredited electrician and consider having the house rewired using the correct ELB devices in the power box

I have no power for my GE profile microwave. The model # is PEM31SM3SS. The outlet is good.

Dead appliance, power on wall outlet.

YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!

Attempt this only if you are competent.

If your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the appliance.
Hope this helps.

The magnetron may have either failed or is not being supplied with the extremely high voltage required to run it.
Make sure the !!!!capacitor is discharged!!!!! before attempting any sort of repair.
Check the door interlock switches first then the high voltage diode with either an AVO model 8 on high resistance range for short circuit, the feed fuse on the primary of the high voltage transformer and then finally, the magnetron is best checked by substitution.
Hope that helps.

I have BPL Sanyo Microwave appliance, Model No.BMO 700T. Despite power On & display, the motor & cooling fan is not working. Can you please let me know the detailed solutions? Also, can you...

The magnetron may have either failed or is not being supplied with the extremely high voltage required to run it.

The cooling fan and turntable motor get their supply from the same point as the main transformer. If the magnetron or diode has failed that will cause excess current to be drawn and take out the supply fuse.

I have taken the microwave oven out of the box. I have plug the equipment into the mains supply. Absolutely nothing happens. Mains supply o.K. Main 13 amp fuse O.K. Is it me or is this equipment u.s.

Hi,
If your sure that the socket you are plugging it in to (try something alse in it) is ok and the fuse in the microwave plug is ok and the microwave is not powering up at all then take it back to where you bought it for an exchange.
hope this helps.

Emerson Microwave stopped working

Have 1 of 2 choices, the main fuse or the control board for the front switches and clock. primary of the small power transformer has opened. Unplug the unit and take case off and measure the fuse with an ohm meter. if u read 1 ohm or less then fuse is good. then measure across the main power plug tips. If read open then the power transformer is bad. Need to replace the board as not sure if transformer is available.

Not heating food..

Hello Stacie.
The only thing that a non technical person can really check is the 13 amp mains lead fuse.

If the fuse is blown there will be no oven light or panel etc. lit up.

On no account remove the cover of the oven. Under certain fault conditions, even with the unit switched off, lethal voltages can still be ready to pack a hefty shock to the untrained.

In view of the now low prices of some microwave ovens, I would not attempt to have it repaired.
A new one will carry a full warranty on parts and labour.

Sorry I could not be more helpful.
Arnie.
