Re: Water will not go in dishwasher
First make sure your water supply had not been shut off under sink.next check the float switch inside the tub., In the front cornerof the dish washer floor (either left or right depending on model)when you open the door. Grab the float and lift slightly up it should move freely up and down, and although pretty faint you should hear a switch "click" as you doit. try it now!!!, if not id focus on bad water valve

Is the water coming on? Is water hot enough? Is washer overloaded, water jets aren't hitting the soap? Maybe try a different brand of soap tablet? Run the dishwasher in "heavy soil" mode which will use hotter water and run for longer?
That's a normal path for the soap. It sounds like the water just sits in the bottom without being pumped through the spray arms. Does the pump motor run? Pop the door open in the middle of the washing cycle--you should see hot water dripping from everything and the soap picked up and circulated with the water. If this machine has seen a lot of use, the intake screen under the lower spray arm may be plugged and is accessed by removing the spray arm and working your way down to the bottom of the deck. Might be a problem for a service technician to take care of.
RUN THE TEST PROGRAM TO DO THIS YOU WILL HAVE TO USE BOTH HANDS. Press and hold "Scrub Wash" & "Delicate/Economy" buttons TOGETHER WHILE HOLDING THE 2 BUTTONS IN HIT THE POWER BUTTON RELEASE THE 2 BUTTONS AND HIT THE 2 BUTTONS AGAIN YOU SHOULD GET A 21 0R 23 CODE AND THE TEST PROGRAM WILL RUN IT WILL TAKE 45 MIN TO RUN BIT WHEN DONE IT WILL SHOW A CODE 1 OR 0 MEANS NOTHING BUT IF YOU GET A NY OTHER # OR LETTER IT CORRESPONDS TO A FAULT 2 = Heating fault 8 = NTC (temperature sensor) fault 1 = Aqua Sensor ("Sensotronic") fault 4 = Filling fault F = Filling fault (display occurs during wash, not test) DON 262-893-4840
I do not have the same model as you, my model is KUD01ILBS6 but I have the same problem. A service tech told me it was a error code and here is how to fix it.
1 open the dishwasher door
2 hit high temp scrub button
3 then hit energy saver dry button
4 do step 2 & 3 again
5 close the door
6 hit the cancel button
7 you can hit cancel button again then try to start your dishwasher
This works for me, you may have to do this every few months because there is a glitch in kitchenaid where if the water temp is not sensed right it will keep the dishwasher from working. It took me 3 service calls to find this out.
sounds as if you amy have a problem with the dispensor door not opening correctly perhaps opening at end of cycle when all water is already released.Ive seen that sometimes the "tabs" or "packets of detegent are too tall and interfere with normal opening of the latch mechanism. manufacture would reccommend using powder instead.
