Question about JVC GR-D270 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
A few months ago I recorded some important footage using my jvc digital camera onto two mini-dv tapes. I checked them after I shot and everything looked fine. Now I want to transfer the info on the tapes and after I tried to playback the tapes in my camcorder they were playing back a distorted image and there was no sound. One of the tapes was playing no image or sound back (but when I fast fowarded a bit I could see the image) at all & the other one almost had a split screen effect where half of the image was still and the other half was in motion also with no sound. Does anyone know what is causing this? Is this repairable? Most of what I recorded can be re-shot but a portion of it can't be and I would hate to lose it. I put in a new tape and recorded something and that playback was fine so I think it is the tapes. Thanks for any help you can give!
