Check the video output card, at the back of the picture tube, for any loose solder terminals. Re-solder all the suspected terminals by applying a little more solder to each terminal, without making any solder bridge short in between adjacent solder close solder terminals. Loose contact to this card is the problem. The card can be located directly plugged on to the back of the picture tube. Its solder side is exposed before you, when you open its back cover. Do it. This is not a skilled work.

Won't come on

Definitely check the air filter, it has a sensor and will stop working if it's dirty. Easy to clean by running water through it.

Touchscreens are EXPENSIVE and difficult to replace. It's not even just soldering. I'd look up any warranties you have on the laptop and see if you can get it fixed for free. But first - try a few things. I know that for some people this may sound like baby talk, but it is the proper procedure to go through.
1. Make sure that the wiring is firmly and correctly plugged in. Your cat may have knocked the graphics port loose by traveling behind the PC.
2. Check and see if you can get another monitor to work on it. Most modern LCD/LED/Plasma televisions have a port you can use.

If that doesn't work, your monitor is actually fine, and you'll probably need a new graphics card. Again, check all warranties, consult your manual, and see if your computer/monitor manufacturer will fix it free of charge under the warranty.

My computer do not recognized my Sandisk Cruzer Micro 1.0 GB.

I had the same exact problem on my 8G card. It worked fine in the camera, but when I plugged it into the card reader it flashed once and then the light went off. So, I put the card back in the camera and ran a USB cable from my camera (there was a port on the side of my Cannon Powershot that was smaller than a USB, but I don't know what to call it) to my computer. When I turned the camera power on, the computer was able to read the 8G card while it was inside the camera. I downloaded everything to my computer at that point. Hope this helps! I got the chord from my external hard drive and that fit from the camera to the computer.

Monitor stays bright white.

The first thing you always investigate is what changed when the behavior began showing symptoms. Maybe something was jostled or moved or the humidity was particularly high or something but that should give you some indicators. If nothing comes to mind then try moving all electronic interference from the equation. Speakers, fluorescent lights, cable modems, etc. can all have an impact so move your monitor and monitor cables away from these things.

No luck yet? Chances are high that there is an issue with a solder joint on the power input circuit board of the monitor. First though, try a confirmed working plug since sometimes the video input plug is simply going bad. If that tells you the plug is okay then try a different monitor and see if the display problems still exist or not. If not then it's got to be the monitor and the solder connection is likely the culprit. Check your warranty and/or see a service technician to have it fixed.

If the problem persists then it could still be the connections on the video cord. There's some sort of filter/booster that people use but I don't know much about that, it might be worth looking into though.

Otherwise you need to open up the case and try a different graphics board. If you don't have an extra PCI graphics card then I would at least inspect the graphics card for damage like erupted capacitors or corroded/cracked solder spots. You'll have to look directly on the motherboard if you have onboard graphics.

I don't recommend soldering any broken solder points yourself unless you have the equipment and expertise to do so. You run a risk of damaging the components on the board from the heat generated if you don't.

I can't get my tv to turn on... nothing but blinking red light

Dont know if this will work for you or not, but my brother gave me his because of the same problem. It would power up and a green light would come on, then after 10 -15 seconds it would change to a red blinking light. I plugged a usb cable into the service port on the side and left the other end unplugged. Then plugged the tv back into the power. i took a small screwdriver and ran across the contacts in the end of the usb cable until both the red light and the green lights came on. I did this several times listening fot the clicking noises in the TV. after doing this for approx 20 seconds, i pressed the power button and the TV worked fine. 5 days now and no problems. Only thing I can think is I somehow reset the software and now it is working fine. Hope some of you can figure this out and give it a try. if the TV is just sitting, you have nothing to lose

Acer laptop power problem

Does not switch on from mains.?????????????
PLEASE EXPLAIN..........

Is the laptop lights not coming on when you plug it in? If not refer to the following.

Are you sure that your power plug has not broken loose. You will have to take the laptop apart to find this out. Sometimes the solder joint will come loose. Do not take this laptop apart unless you know what you are doing. The manual can give you step by step directions sometimes. It is not easy to take it apart without breaking the little things. If you do take it apart, take pictures of every step and take notes and even draw picture so you will know where everything goes. You can touch the plug where it is soldered and re-solder the plug. Please be careful. This takes someone with good solder skills to do.
