Question about HP PSC 1610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Hp psc 1610 inkjet printer

I think someone in my family had a paper jam and instead of pulling the jammed paper from the BACK, they pulled out the front. Now the printer won't "grab" the paper. I have to hand feed. Is there a fix?

Throw this thing out as it is clearly rubbish. HP inkjet printers will **** the life and money out of you. Get a Brother HL-2170W and you will have care free printing for cheap.

Cheers old chap.

My 1610 printer is showing a paper jam message and there is none. There is a grinding noise and ink is not moving.

Please remove the rear access door (press in the tab on the left side of the rear access door and then pull the doow away from the product to remove it.

Now gently pull any jammed paper out of the rollers inside the product and reattach the rear door

Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

HP 1610 - Skipping Lines when printing w/carriage return

You are lucky you can print ANYTHING! My unit has NEVER worked (3 years) due to a hardware defect of HP. I downloaded patches, cleaned/replaced cartridges, etc.
Spoke to HP last nite-Was told printer was junk-they don't carry it or any parts to fix it anymore!! I was told to replace it!

Paper jams

Had this problem, too with HP PSC 1610 AIO, paper would pull in part way and stop, then display would indicate: Paper Jam, Clear Jam and Press OK, but there was no paper in the path at all. Found in HP forums that possibly the problem was a broken off piece that may be called the "x-bias" lever which is on a little spring inside the printer just to the left of the carriage bay on the right side of the device. There are two photos of "broken" and "not broken" at this forum site:

Since HP does not sell the little part to repair it, I phoned HP and got a good "trade-in, trade-up" price for a better device. Hope this helps someone else find the answer to the constant paper jam issue, as I always appreciate the FixYa forum help from everyone else here, too.

Probably some piece of paper stuck in the printer, try looking for small pieces of paper that might confuse the sensors.
