You can run 2 subs given that you dont go over 2 ohms of resistance and that the subs are rated at 1000 watt max each around 4 or 500 watt rms. if your not sure about ohms dont bridge it and get single voice coil subs. this amp is capable of about 700watts constant power 1200 max spike if the voltage stays at 12 or higher.

constant power is rms your amp rating is its peak output (1200) the rms is usualy about 45-55% of that at 12 volts but most problems occour when your subs hit hard the battery and alt cant keep up and volts drop down below 11 so that makes the amp drop. capacitors help store energy for short periods of time so as to keep this problem from happening but they are not needed it just helps. to check the ohms put a meter on the ohm symbol and make contact to the speaker terminals what the meter reads is the resistance round to nearest tenth two 2's(ohms) make 1 ohm two 4's make a 2. two 1's make a quarter only atomic amps can handel this ohm (1/4) to change this if its single voice coil take the neg from one speaker and hook it to the pos on the other speaker then take your meter and put it to the empty lead on one speaker then to the empty lead ont he other speaker read your ohms if you have cingular and wand direct help (1-251-635-7029)

I have an alpine mrv-f307 4/3/2 channel. I have it hooked up to 2 12in Kenwood subs. Right now standard 2 channel each sub having their own. I heard doing a series hook up and bridging the subs to the amp ...

Bridging an amplifier refers to combining the power of two channels to run one speaker at higher power. If it is wired correctly, your amplifier is running with 4 channels bridged into 2 speakers now.

I have two sony xplod 12" speakers wich can hold

You only gave us the model of the amp so I will make an assumption that your 12" subs are the Sony XS-GTX120LW. First, they cannot hold 1200 watts a piece. They are meant to be powered with 350 watts RMS. They will hold 1200 watts peak. That means that 1200 watts for a few seconds will be ok. Past that and kiss them goodbye!

Next you indicated that bridged the amp. Since the subs are both 4 ohm single voice coils did you wire them in series or parallel?

It sounds to me like you wired them in parallel resulting in the amp seeing a 2 ohm load. The amp you referenced is only stable when bridged at 4 ohms.

Has the amp begun working again once it cooled down? If not you could have fried the outputs by having the resistance too low.

How i wire my sub to my jbl gto301-1iiamp with 2 Hifonics HFi12D4

If the amp is 1200 watts at 2 ohm stable you will want to set up the speakers as parrallel and bridge the amp. That means conncect the speakers with + to + and - to -. Look at the amp connections. Usually thereare connects that look like this:
+ -
+ - + -

If yours look like this use the diagram on top. You will use the + for the left ouput on the amp to the right - on the amp. This will allow you to use all the power from the amp. Be sure to lower the gain as to not pop the speakers or amp.

What kind amp should be use for ts-w307d2 subwoofer speaker?

Nice sub, i have 2 308d4s in my car. Okay this sub is a dual coil 2 ohm. so to get best bang for your buck you'll want a 2 channel amp and bridge it. Your sub is 400 watts RMS, So you'll want an amp that has the same rating. I'd recommend the pioneer GM-5400t. Then wire your voice coils in parallel, and bridge your amp, you'll get 380 watts RMS, which is perfect for this sub. If you have questions on wiring or anything you can just ask. thanks, i hope this helps

2 will push more air but be careful how they are wired so you dont go to low on the ohms your amp sees. That amp should be 2 ohm stable so read up on how to wire in series or parallel.

They are not wanting to play like they should

Hello again debrahood196,

Your KAC-5204 amp is only rated to put out 60 watts per channel and really cannot push very hard. If your subs are the KFC-W110S, they are 8ohm subs and you will get better power from the amp by using the bridged connections, positive (+) on the left channel and negative (-) on the right channel. Wire both positives and both negatives from both subs to the bridged connections and the output will be 150 watts into 4ohms. Giving each sub 75 watts should make them push a little harder.

only using one of the channels for audio and having the rest of the amp wired up as normal should work fine. for example just use the right channel and leave the left unwired.
