Years ago a felt hat was used to make repairs, little strips were cut off and inserted behind the rings.

How do you know when vehicle has jumped time, or blew headgasket?

have a compression test done to check compression pressures and ring condition
over heated engines leave the rings soft/broken and not sealing on the cylinder walls
it will be rare if the valve timing changed from over heating==more likely a burnt valve

How to fix my honda civic it has low compression and week fire how u fix it

low compression can be either leaking head gasket-bad head /burnt valves--piston rings --damaged cylinder wall all of these are a tear apart fix a rebuild depending on mileage and condition of engine a replacement engine might be a better financial solution ---as for weak spark coil --wires-spark plug -fouled spark plug --and if same cylinder as damaged one the compression

How do i fix the compression on my 50cc kymco agility

If it is a 2 cycle, I'm not familiar with kymco, the only way to fix the compression is to replace the piston rings and/or piston. It is not uncommon to burn a hole in a piston if the carberator is gummed up. If it is a 4 cycle (probably isn't) you could have a burnt, warped, or sticking valve. Either one it requires taking the head off for further evaluation.

What to do when there no psi on cyl 4 to get the psi up agan"?"

There are at least three possible reasons for no psi in cyl No 4.
1. Burnt or damaged exhaust valve in that cylinder
FIX Remove head and replace faulty valve
2. Blown head gasket (water mixed with sump oil shows milky on dipstick and steam or water coming out of exhaust tailpipe, radiator water disappears )
FIX Remove head, grind flat and assemble with new gasket.
3. Broken piston rings, or cracked piston or burnt hole in piston.
FIX replace faulty parts.
Squirt some sump oil ( 2 or 3 spoonfuls ) through spark plug hole,
spin motor , and if compression PSI improves then it is rings or piston, if no PSI then it is faulty ex valve !!!

No compression in cylinder 2 mk 4 golf gti

If you are sure the compression is low on that one cylinder (might want to get a second opinion) the most likely problem is a burnt valve.
That will require taking the head off and having it "rebuilt". $$$
Second most common problem is something wrong with your piston rings. That wil require an engine overhaul. $$$$$$
Here's how to tell before you tear the engine down.
With your compression gauge handy, get an oli can with some motor oil ready. You'll need about 1.8 cup or six tablespoons full.
Check the compression without the oil, write it down.
Add or squirt the oil in the cylinder, and check the compression again.
If the compression comes up with the oil added, the problem is the rings on the piston. If the compression stays the same, it is a burnt valve.
There is a small chance it could be a leaking head gasket.

no/loss of compression can be from a few different problems blown piston/piston rings[fix rebuild engine and replace piston parts ]camshaft flattened lobe [replace camshaft]valves burnt/bent carbon build up [remove head and repair/replace valves ] valve springs weak/broken[repair or replace ] head itself cracked [replace ]these are some of the reasons that u can loose compression if ur guy did compression test and determined its the head[valves ] then replace head if car is worth fixing then fix it good luck

I have 1200 bandit with fuel getting into oil

Check the Compression in all 4 cylinders, if the compression is low on one cylinder, squirt some oil or or WD40 down the bore and immediately recheck the compression. If the pressure goes up a fair bit you have a broken ring, if not you could have a burnt valve. If your getting fuel in the oil it definately sounds like a ring problem

when you replaced the plugs , was one of them (cylinder 1 ) dirty and fouled ?
I'm thinking that bad rings in cylinder would give you low compression , and eventualy cause the missfire by fouling up the plug.
There is an inexpensive product that will help with the compression by filling up scratches in the cylinder walls. It is called Restore , and it is one of the only products of its type that I have used , and feel actually works.
Unfortunately , if your rings are broken , or badly worn , nothing in a bottle will fix them.

If your car had a distributor cap and rotor , I would change them too.
