Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2 Digital Camera

1 Answer

No picture on display

I have a Panasonic DMC-LZ2 and I can't get the picture I want to appear on the monitor. I also have a Kodak 1GB memory card inserted inside. Is this the correct card and if so, why no pics? Also, when I first got the camera, it did have a few pics in memory, and I deleted them. I don't know if it hurt it any, but is this the problem? Any news would be helpful at this point. I didn't pay for the camera, but it did come to me from a friend who didn't abuse it in no way. Thanks for the help. Steven

Take the following steps: 1. If the card contains pics you want to keep, get a card reader and download them to your computer. 2. Go into the camera menu and find "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions. 3. Make sure the slide switch on the side of the card is in the unlocked position and insert it into the camera. 4. Go into the menu and find "format'...follow the on-screen instructions. Everything should be OK now.

Lumix dmc-lz2 how high can the sd memory card go and which brand should I buy?

SD cards max out at 2GB. The manual states 1GB as the maximum size, but 1GB SD cards are getting very hard to find. You should be able to use a 2GB card.

I purchased a sdhc 4gb memory card for my Panasonic DMC-LZ2 Camara and when I put it in I get a message that says memory card error. Do I need to format it? and how do I do that

The DMC-LZ2 uses SD and MMC cards, not SDHC cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible. You will need to use SD cards 2GB and smaller.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 able to download to ipod

Not directly. You can download the pictures to a computer, then upload them to your iPod. If you connect the iPod and the camera or its memory card, you can transfer the pictures from one to the other without storing them on the computer.

How do I download my pictures onto my computer? its a panasonic DMC-LZ2

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Panasonic DMC--LZ2 gives me ''memory card error'' message if i put a SanDisk SDHC 4GB card in.

The DMC-LZ2 is specified to work with SD cards, not SDHC cards. While SDHC cards are physically compatible with SD cards, they will not work in SD devices. SD cards will work in SDHC devices, but that doesn't help you any here.

It's a hardware incompatibility. No firmware update can get around it.
