I cant find the option to open flash on my JAZZ HDV-188 camcorder

I looked in the menu an in the manual but it doesn't say any option to open flash and I know there is flash because there is a flash on the camcorder and the manual says that you can open flash or close but I can't find the option? Can anyone help? Thanks!
