My board is IBM rev. 2.8 pn 19r2563,i just clear the cmos, after that the board didn't boot anymore,no power at all,,please somebody help what exactly the problem is..

Look on the board for bloated or leaking capacitors- these are caps that have an x on the top and a yellow or brown substance out of them. If the are fat they are bloated. Next, I have had this with bad power supplies. Try another power supply or put that one on a power supply tester if you have one. It will tell you if all the voltages are there. It only takes one voltage missing to give you major headaches. If the unit is old try measuring the CMOS battery. A dead one will not let the computer boot but that is after power will come on.
If you have a bad capacitor on the board it will be needing replacement- I fix them but not everybody goes to that trouble.

Can someone tell what motherboard I got? I have a motherboard that was laying around and going to put it to use. It says on it. Intel Pentium III. It must be a IBM as it says IBM on it. here are what I see...

ITSAN OLD MOTHER BOARD YOU CAN USE IT BUT YOU WANT BE ABLE TO USE IT FOR HIGH CONFIGURATION. AND IT WILL ACCEPT ONLY 120 GB HDD WITH 1 GB MEMORY AND VIDEO CARD.

INSTEAD OF INVESTING IT ON THIS MOTHERBOARD YOU CAN GO FOR NEW SYS.

FOR IBM MOTHERBOARD REV 1.6

I believe the fastest CPU you can install in that motherboard is a Athlon XP 3200+ (2.2GHZ) socket 7 CPU.

That board uses eaither DDR 1 or SD-RAM and is definatly not compatible with DDR2 which uses a different connector on the motherboard (more pins)
