Where light is for controller port four its flashind red and xbox will noy work?

hi, this is what that code is telling you, also do you have a code on the screen when switched on let me know if you do if you dont ill tell you at the end of this post how to get an error code so i can tell you exactly what the problems is.

Section 4 is flashing red
- Hardware Failure
/ \
\ /

The Specific Type of hardware failure can be determined by the error code displayed on the screen.
If the screen is blank or you would like additional information follow the instructions for determining the secondary error code in the section below

here is how to get the secondary code for me.
The specific type of hardware failure can be determined by a "hidden" error code

* Turn the xbox 360 on, and wait till the 1 red lights are flashing.
* Press and hold the sync up button (the small white one), while holding that button press the eject button.
* The LEDs will now blink the first number in the code ( so 1 red light may be lit so write this down).
* Release the eject button and press it again.( it will then change the red lights and maybe 2 will be lit up write this down also)
* The LEDs will now blink the second number of the code.
* Release the eject button and press it again.
* The LEDs will now blink the third number of the code.
* Release the eject button and press it again.
* The LEDs will now blink the forth number of the code.
* Release the eject button and press it again.
* The LEDs will go back to the 1 red flashing lights.

so what you need to do is this, when the 1 red light comes on hold down the little white sync button and keep holding it down all the time, now whilst your holding that little white button down on the front of xbox press the eject button but keep holding the white button down now write how many lights are lit up and this is the 1st number in the code, so keep holding the white button down dont let go of this white button then press and let go of the eject button again and write how many lights are lit up whilst still holding the white button down, now do this 4 times all together and you will end up with something like this written down
4402

once you have this four digit code send me a message back with the code then i can tell you exactly what the problem is and what you can do to try and solve the problem

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Theres a ring around the disc

the ring is from the console being moved when the system was on you can resurface the disk or theres a disk replacement program but with that ring it most likely will not work

How to replace ink waste absorber

  • Open the printer as though you were going to install new ink cartridges, letting the cartridge cradle move to the center of the printing unit. Unplug the printer so that the cartridges will remain in their position.

  • Locate the waste ink absorbers in their black rubber frame. They will likely be on the right side of your printer, and will be located underneath the area where the ink cartridges rest when the printer is in standby mode.

  • Use a paper napkin or other disposable and absorbent material to soak up any excess ink that may be in the pads by pressing it down onto the top of the frame.

  • Pull the rubber frame free from the printer, wearing gloves to keep your hands clean. Carefully remove the ink absorber pad or pads from the rubber frame.

  • Insert new ink absorber pads firmly into the rubber frame. Replace the rubber frame in its original position and close the printer.

  • Hold down the power button, then plug the printer back in. Continue holding the power button down until the printer begins to reset itself and come online.

  • Wait for the green power light to turn off, then press and release the power button again. It should blink for two to three seconds, then stay lit; this will indicate that the printer has been reset and is ready to print again without errors.

I have a Canon pixma ip8500. I successfully removed, rinsed, and replaced the ink absorbers when the "self-destruct" (ink tank near full) lights came on. Now I am having problems getting the darned thing...

I don't know whether you've tried the ordinary reset method, if not, you can give it a try:

Or you can manually try this:
    • Turn off the printer.
    • Hold Resume button and Tap the POWER button.
    • Hold button RESUME release POWER.
    • Then press the button RESUME again .
    • Release all the buttons.
    • Led Indicator in green and stay green.
    • Tap RESUME button 4 times.

You problem seems not so easy since this error shows up after it's was disassembled and reassembled.

If the problem persists, let me know. Let's try together to resolve this issue.

    Good luck.

My problem is a weird one. My family has had a Photosmart 3310 All-In-One printer for a while now (I'd say about 3-4 years), and it's worked fine until recently. Now, the light is on around the on button,...

Hi, I suggest you do a full system reset on the printer and see if that fixes anything. Please do the following. Come back and check with me if it doesn't work.
    Performing a semi-full reset of the All-in-One
    1. Use the Power button to turn on the product.
    2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
    3. Press and hold the # button and the 6 button.
    4. While holding the buttons down, plug the power cord into the back of the product.
    5. Continue to hold the buttons down until the control panel display goes blank.
    6. Release the buttons, and then use the Power button to turn on the product. The reset information appears on the control panel display.

I have a 2 yr. old C6180. It will not turn on as of yesterday. Power is coming from the socket as the little green lights on the plug are lighted. I have unplugged all cords and plugged them back in but...

try unplugging power cord and holding #6while your plugginmg in the power cord hold the button down until you see the display lights turning on and release if you are printing wirelessly you will have to do the wireless setup wizard again.
if that doesn't work try plugging it directly to the wall
if all else fails it may be the printer

    Monitor goes blank

I was thinking about your problem, I just had a similar issue and the problem is that the inverter or the power supply with an embedded inverter had gone bad.

The reason it goes black is because the inverter fails to provide power to the LCD Display.

The only way to fix this is to open up the FPD:

*note these are instructions for the most popular FPD 1730*

1.there should be four screws on the back --> plus two large screws that hold the FPD stand and the Monitor together.

2.Open the back by pulling the cover off
Remove 7 screws holding the frame and the power button for the LCD

3.Remove two screws through holding a silver cover and remove cables.(pinkwhite) (blackwhite)
Please note where they belong before removal**

4.On the edges left and right are two screws 4 total ---> remove and remove LCD off of frame**becareful because the backlight Damaging can cause severe damage to your LCD panel.

    5.Choose your model
Your FPD has 3 boards (power, inverter(backlights) Logic Video)
replace the inverter with well known good one

Your FPD has 2 boards(Power with inverter on edges, Logic Video)
replace the power board with a well known good one

6.Then do steps 1-5 in reverse order(putting your FPD back together.

I hope this is significant help

How to Factory reset Firebox X20e edge

To set the Firebox X Edge e-Series to the factory default settings:
    1. Disconnect the power supply.
    2. Hold down the Reset button on the back of the Edge.
    3. Continue to hold down the Reset button, and connect the power supply.
    4. Hold down the Reset button. When the yellow Attn light stays lit, the Edge was successfully restored to the factory default settings.
This process can take 45 seconds or more.
    5. Release the Reset button.
Do not try to connect to the Edge at this time. Before you can connect to the Edge, you must start it one more time. If you do not, when you try to connect to the Edge a web page appears with this message: Your WatchGuard Firebox X Edge is running from a backup copy of firmware. You could also see this message if the Reset button is stuck in the depressed position. If you continue to see this page, check the Reset button, and start the Edge again.
    1. Disconnect the power supply.
    2. Connect the power supply again.

The Power Indicator lights and your Edge is reset.
