CANON IMAGERUNNER 5570

E000014-0000 ERROR MESSAGE. I HAVE CHECKED OUT THE MOTOR, AND WEB IN / AROUND THE FUSER. THE MOTOR SEEMS TO BE OK AND THE FUSER AREA DOESNT SHOW ANYTHING BINDING. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE ARE SERVICE TECH BULLETIN OUT ON THIS MACHINE. WOULD ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET THE BULLETIN? I CAN TURN KNOB FREELY . I CAN GET IT CLEAR , RUN 500 OR SO COPIES ON IT AND THEN THE ERROR CODE COMES BACK.

I ACTUALLY WENT TODAY, REPLACED THE LOWER PRESSURE ROLLER AND LOWER BEARING , RESET THE MACHINE AND ERROR CODE DISAPPEARED. RAN A FEW HUNDRED COPIES , NO REPORT OF ERROR CODE. MAY HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM

Thanks Spinal for your input.I have checked the switch and held it while operational and it is all good. I noted a small flat surface on the lower roller but I would not think that it would cause this error code. I get the code to clear and the after a few hundred copies it comes back. I have been told that the thermistor might cause this error code but that looked ok as well.

Hello NFDOS. I can make no promises other than I genuinely want to help you, as I would like help when I am need .This forum "FIXYA" says they might give me some money one day if I am able to help "x"number of people in "x" number of days. I dont set up at night helping people, anticipating a handout from them, I just like helping folks ,so lets give this a spin. i went to the Canon support website. The fact that you have done some serious troubleshooting on your own (as u descibed and I duly noted) helps alot. This answer I will offer to your problem is not bulletproof but when I went to the Canon website and weighed your situation and their commentary I believe its worth a shot. I had to read between the lines but from what I gathered the front door switch on this machine can be right on the edge of being ........(choose your term) totally, positively, solidly engaged so that the operation of the copier as it is rockin and rollin may cause the front door switch to momentarily "bounce". I have not had the opportunity to look at the ac and dc aspects of this switch and how vulnerable it is the normal agitation of this fairly hefty machine as it operates. The Canon bulletin/ newsletter indicated that the front door interlock could be unstable. We both know that it could be the magnetic latch(their fix) or the adjustment of the ac and or dc component of the front door switch.I have not dwelled on the front door switch and to what degree a "copier slayer" such as us might make a few adjustments to make sure that when the front door is closed properly that there is indeed a degree of overtravel when the door is shut to make sure that normal copier operation wont cause the front door switch to bounce. I am at home right now but if I had a 5570 in front of me I would be inclined to "reform" any and all actuators in the front door assy so that the front door switch would be satisfied (Oversatisfied) when I closed the front door to a 95% closed setting. Then I would know that when the door actually latched, no amount of normal copier operation, regarless of mechanical vibration or component lunge(stapler) could cause the front door switch to bounce. The Canon bulletin indicated that a momentary loss of 24 vdc to motor M3 would cause your prob. I hope this helps and good luck friend...........SPINAL......

Fuser temperature failure, possibly fuser lamps or thermistors. Check that there isn't any gunk on thermistor surface, check lamps for continuity. Error needs to be reset before machine will operate.

ERROR CODE E000014-0000

This is an error in the rotation of the fuser motor. My problems have all been a result of the web getting tangled up in the fuser rollers. Check that the fuser freely turns. Check the bearings of both rollers, one or more may be bad. Good luck.

I use canon imagerunner 330. what happen when it says switch main power off and on. E010 do i have electrical problem or technical problem

The Error code E010 means that there is a drag on the main motor. I would look in the fuser unit & see if the lower fuser roller is damaged or that the cleaning web is wraped around the upper fuser roller. Also try to turn the fuser. You may have a siezed ball bearing. Also, try to remove the drum unit and close the door and see if the code is gone, if so you have a problem with the drum unit, but I would say it is in the fuser unit...... Good Luck

Error message? What's it stand for?

The error code has to do with the toner feed motor over heating or binding.. I was a copier the other day and because the toner bottle was put askew it put too much strain on the motor. Once I repositioned the toner bottle in correctly all was good. Hope this helps.
