Question about Kitchen Ranges
More than likely you have a failed igniter on the bake manifold. Since both manifolds have separate igniters and are BOTH controlled by the Electronic Range Control (ERC) board, its a safe bet that you need to replace the bake igniter since the broiler is working. This is not a diffuclt repair. The following link explains a little theory on how these igniters work and how to replace one:
Follow all safety precautions and make sure the range is UNPLUGGED before servicing. Replacement igniters can be purchased on line at any of the following web sites:
All these sites offer great service with competitve prices, so shop and compare. The first three sites I listed also include helpful exploded view parts diagrams to assist you in location/identification of parts.
If your replacement igniter connector does not match the existing one on your range, you will be instructed to cut and splice these wires together using the ceramic wire lugs included in the replacement kit. DO NOT attempt to use standard wire lugs as they will melt under extreme heat. The wires and ceramic lugs that are used on these igniters are heat resistant.
If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

The problem is usually the igniter not reaching the correct amp draw .When the igniter does not reach the correct amp draw it may allow the gas valve to partially open or not open at all. The igniters are inexpensive and easy to replace. This video will walk you thru the correct procedure for testing an oven igniter. It may be a different model but the testing will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. Not all models are available. All parts come with installation instructions.
