Question about Powerware 9120 UPS System
I have a 2No.s of Powerware 9120, 1500i UPS installed on board ship at Goa-India. One of that shows 'OVER TEMP FAULT' error on screen. What causes this error? How can this be repaired? What is the battery replacement interval?

Are the fan working?
u may need to clean the ups, u will need to unplug it and open the front part by pressing on the boton sides and pulling out. take the bateries out. and now u can take out the screws in the back and clean the ups inside, just use a compressor, take care that doesn't have water inside the compressor, and u can replace the batteries, theya are conected in serie.

If UPS is displaying "Site Fault", it is doing its job correctly. You need to check the wall receptacle. Probably hot and neutral reversed, or the neutral and ground are reversed, by whom ever installed the wall receptacle. You need to have the plug-in for the UPS intact, i.e. the ground pin must not have been cut off. If an extension cord connects the UPS to the wall, thge cord must be working correctly.
