Question about O'Neil Printers A15E981 RP2000 ROUTE PRINTER 270CPS 9P WL-B LTR 12-19V F/SYMBO Card
I maintain a large quantity of O'Neil RP 2000 printers and they frequently have head jams and print off of the margins. What can I do to repair and prevent these problems????
Clean the mech assembly. any oil or graphite will mess it up. the unit is designed to ride dry, two brass sleeves on a chromed carriage bar.
as long as there are no bent parts in the mech assembly the problem is cleanliness. dissasemble the unit and clean it with a non-residue degreaser. also clean the printhead carrage gears ( the ones that turn the ribbon) they will mess thins up too.
try these solutions then see if there are still problems.
