94 buick park ave hard start, wont stay running, lack of power

I have a 94 buick park ave; It is hard to start. It wont stay running. When it dose run it has a total lack of power... This problem came on suddenly without warning. I put in/on a new computer, coil mod, plugs and exhaust system. It has lots of spark and fuel in fact it likes to flood out. / to top it off i can get in it, start it up once in while and it runs great until i push the gas pedal then it quits / other times i have to hold my foot to the floor just to get it to start.Next im thinking cam or crank sensor i need help

I have a 1995 Buick Park Ave Ultra. The car has power but will not turn over. I was told by one shop that it might be the V.A.T.S. system and by another that it is the IGNITION CONTROL MODULE.

Make sure the battery cables are clean and tight on the battery. Check to see if the wires to the starter are tight. Try starting it in neutral to make sure the safety switch is being make. Also hold it up into park and try.

1991 buick park avenue will not stay running and runs rough

I think you got your answer to the alarm issue. I had the same problem with rough idling, lack of power, and the chugging that occured when going up hill. I have a 1991 Park Avenue with 190k miles. Fixing the catalytic converter helped, but the real problem was in the ignition control module. It seems that older buicks will heat these units to the point that the glue inside melts and eventually exposes the electronics. Look for glue or exposed wires below the ignition coil. It's a $100 part that you should be able to change yourself. I hope that helps.
