My heat alarm has been coming on and when I Reset the alarm and am noticing that the temperature is not remaining cold. Although I adjust the temperature setting, it is defaulting back to a warmer setting and not remaining cold. Can you tell me what I can do to fix this?
Ok you have a defrost problem the freezer does all the cooling for all the unit both sides give me a few and ill give you the procedure for finding out which part needs to be replaced
yes i do soon as i eat ill get back to you lol im in chatt tn
look if youll send me an e mail at [email protected] ill send you the instructions on your promblem
first open the refrigerate door push the light switch 5 times in less than 6 seconds that should start defrost if it doesn't then replace the adc take the cover off the evaporator in the freezer section its the lower panel look to see if the heater is on while the unit is in defrost if it isn't then on the evaporator you will see a defrost thermostat now if pushing the light switch and putting the unit in defrost works but the heater isn't on then change that thermostat its attached to the evaporator tube it clips on and looks like a disc with two wires on it

Hi joeeshir - Did the unit previously experience a power loss? If the temperature of food rises to an unsafe level, the buzzer will sound and the red light, if equipped, will also glow. First, deactivate the alarm to the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker. Wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on the unit. After deactivating the alarm and the unit has run approximately four hours, the red light/alarm should go off on its own. If the red light/alarm continues to stay on, the freezer may possibly have a communication problem with the control board, temperature control or a wiring harness. If this is the case, I would recommend connecting with an experienced technician to determine the underlying cause.

I have checked everything you have asked and yes there is frost build up. I checked the compressor and it appears to be running and the freezer fan is working when I checked this. The unit is less than 6 months old.
by any chance do you have the information I need in order to proceed? thanks.
look in your freezer down toward the bottom do you see heavy frost there as the freezer does all the cooling for the unit is the compressor running or humming and clicking is the freezer fan running open the door and listen on some models you have to hold the light switch down for the fan to run and how old is the unit check to see if the compressor fan is running
