If your printer is a USB connection. your MAC will pick it up automatically. If it is not USB, Run the disc that came with the printer.

Unplug USB connection from MAC, restart, plug back in, to to your homepage and hit print. This SHOULD fix the problem.

Missing printer driver settings and/or features on Leopard.

If your output is faint or if the driver settings and/or features are missing, your system may have automatically added the printer using the Gutenprint driver. Many printer drivers are provided with Leopard but some drivers may need to be downloaded from the manufacturers website.

Determine Which Driver is Currently Being Used

1. Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the Finder and open System Preferences.

2. In the System Preferences window, click on Print & Fax.

3. In the list of printers on the left side of the Print & Fax window, click once on your printer to select it.

4. Check the name of the driver being used; it is displayed in the center of the Print & Fax window next to “Kind”.

5. If the driver name displayed next to “Kind” is Gutenprint, the incorrect driver is being used. Follow the steps in the next section to select the correct driver.

Selecting the Correct Driver

5. If the driver for you model is included in Leopard, skip to step 6. Otherwise, download and install the Leopard driver before continuing with step 6.

6. Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the Finder and open System Preferences.

Canon imagePROGRAF W7250

I did not see that there was a response on Apple's support site that adds to the previous post I mentioned. Combing the steps from the two posts, I was able to get our W7250 to print from Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

Here are the steps I took to get a networked Canon imagePROGRAF 7250 to work with a Mac running Leopard :

1. Download garo34 print driver from Canon's support site here.
2. Download the iPF610/iP710 Leopard print driver from Canon here.
3. Double-click on the garo34_osx.hqx file that you downloaded.
4. A folder named Driver is created; open it and double click on "GARO Installer for X".
5. Enter a name and password of an administrator account on your Mac and click OK.
6. When the GARO Installer for X window appears, click on Continue.
7. Click Continue.
8. Click Continue.
9. Click Agree.
10. Click Install.
11. When the installation is complete, click on the Restart button.
12. When your system has restarted, double-click on the iPF610_710_Driver_OSX_10.5_Ver1.10.hqx file you downloaded.
13. A folder named iPF610_710_Driver_OSX_10.5_Ver1.10 is created; open it and double-click on "iPF Driver Installer X".
14. Enter a name and password of an administrator account on your Mac and click OK.
15. When the iPF Installer X window appears, click on Continue.
16. Click Agree.
17. Click Install.
18. When the installation is complete, click on the Restart button.
19. When your system has restarted, click on the System Preferences icon on your Dock or select System Preferences from the Apple pull-down menu.
20. When the System Preferences window appears, click on the Print & Fax icon.
21. Click on the + Button underneath the Printers column.
22. Another window will appear; click on the "More Printers" icon.
23. A drop-down window appears; select Canon IP (GARO) from the pull-down menu if not already selected.
24. In the "Printer's Address:" field, enter the IP address of your Canon W7250 printer (e.g. 192.168.1.2).
25.In the "Queue Name:" field, enter a name for your printer (e.g. W7250).
26. Click on Add.
27. The W7250 is now your default printer. If you want another printer to be the default, change it in the Print & Fax preference pane.

Voila!

I hope this solves your problem and you found the instructions helful.

Lexmark X2350 driver for Imac SS 10.4

Mac OS 10.3 and greater (Panther and above) Installation Is your printer pre-loaded in Panther?
To verify that your printer is pre-loaded in Panther:
  • Look in the "Library" folder.
  • Look in the "Printers" folder.
If your printer is in the folder marked "Lexmark", simply proceed to "System Preferences", "Print and Fax" then to "Set Up Printers". Select the Lexmark printer you wish to use as your default printer.
If your printer is not pre-loaded, please follow the instructions in the next section.
Your printer is not pre-loaded in Panther:
If your printer is not in Panther's "Printers" folder, download the appropriate OS X driver via the Lexmark Mac Compatibility page. Follow these Panther-specific installation instructions:
  1. Double-click the installer icon on your desktop.
  2. Accept the license agreement.
  3. Cancel the "Printer Selection" pane.. If you are unable to "cancel" the "Printer Selection" pane, force quit (command + option + escape).
  4. If you see a "Printer Setup is not complete" message, click "OK".
  5. Open "System Preferences" then open "Print and Fax".
  6. Click "set up printers".
  7. When you see the "you have no printers available" message click "add" then select your printer. Note: if your printer is attached via USB, your printer may not appear until you have first selected USB from the drop down menu.

Kodak all in one printer

If you can’t print and you’ve tried other solutions, reset the print system. The process deletes all printers from your Printer list, deletes information about all completed print jobs, and deletes all printer presets.
1.) Select Apple menu > System Preferences and click Print & Fax.
2.) Hold down the Control key as you click in the Printer list, and choose “Reset printing system” from the pop-up menu that appears.
3.) then, Add the printers you use.

Epson Stylus CX4800 All-In-One

One possible solution that we can advice is to do a complete trash & reinstallation of printer driver as well as the scanner driver.

For iMac with Leopard, there is a big possibility that the printer driver is not the correct epson series printer driver that's why you can't ink levels is unavailable. Just to set an expectation, printer driver for CX4800 is pre-installed as resident driver in Leopard. Please try to the following to solve that issue:

Determine Which Driver is Currently Being Used
1. Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the Finder and open System Preferences.
2. In the System Preferences window, click on Print & Fax.
3. In the list of printers on the left side of the Print & Fax window, click once on your Epson printer to select it.

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Delete the print queue and remove the printer from Print & Fax by clicking on the minus (-) button under the list of printers. Click OK to confirm the removal.
3. Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the Finder and open System Preferences.
4. In the System Preferences window, click on Print & Fax.
5. Turn on the printer. The system should add the printer automatically.
6. If the system does not add the printer or if it adds it using the Gutenprint driver, contact Apple for assistance. You may need to reinstall the Epson drivers provided with Leopard.

NOTE: To check ink levels, click the Utility button, then click EPSON StatusMonitor. The Supply Levels button will not show remaining ink levels for your Epson printer.
