I have new Halogen Oven (Tabletop) Inc 2 wire stands and tongs. To cook vegetables, for example, do I put in dish with water? I need just general initial guidance. I have a small recipe booklet, apparantly written by a crosseyed chinaman on LSD. Thanks for any help Graham

Some dude figured out by adding a hallogen bulb to a fan he had a gimmick LOL Thankd for asking the question , I never heard of this thang. I am wondering if maybe the lamp is like most piser halogen lamps my mom bought from wally world and the lamps were always burning out plus any grease or oils quickly kill the bulbs so I wonder what keeps that from happening. What you have is a fan so that keeps greas off the light bulb. Wonderful innovation. LOLThey took the fire hazzard out of the tall funeral furniture lamps and made an oven out of it LOL

What's F4 error code stands for?

Hello Richard;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

You did not provide a model number and manufacturer. So, the following is a general description of a F4 code.

The error code "F4" will be displayed along with a beeping sound if the ERC (Electronic Range Control) or "clock" determines an open oven temperature sensor circuit during the "cook" (bake or broil) mode. The "F4" message will not be displayed in the time of day mode. The cause of the problem is a bad oven temperature sensor or its wire harness. The access to the oven temperature sensor plug and the wires is from the back only. You have to pull the oven out of the wall (if it's free standing) or remove it from the cabinet (if it's built in). Disconnect the power and remove the rear cover. Check the resistance across the oven temperature sensor. It is supposed to be about 1100 Ohms at room temperature. If the resistance is incorrect, the oven temperature sensor is bad and needs to be replaced. If not, check all the wires from the oven temperature sensor to the ERC. If it is not the sensor and wires, you have to replace the ERC.
To get the right replacement part just click on the link AppliancePartsPros, then type the model number of your oven in the search box, click on the "search" button and in the new window type the word "sensor" or the word "clock" in the "search by keyword" box and click the "search" button.

You can go into the following website put in your model number and get diagrams ans component part numbers.
Your model number is on a label either on the face of the oven when you open the door or on the side of the oven door.

NATURAL GAS OVEN WONT COOK PROPERLY

· Gas ovens / stovetop that use gas and not electricity. These work by igniting gas and use actual flame on the the stovetop.
· Newest cook top styles, such as the induction or halogen cook tops combine the same style to produce more even heating. Some of these ovens feature thermal limiters or thermostats that regulate the burner system. GAS OVENS 1)The spark igniter tip is dirty (can clean it with either a little wire brush or a piece of fine sandpaper).

2) The Pilot flame is too low, and the tip of the igniter is not in the flame good enough. (the flame acts as a circuit when it touches the tip & completes the circuit).

3) The spark module is no good and needs to be replaced.(But 1 & 2 are your best bet).
spark module does not sense the flame when it's on. The spark igniter is also the flame sensor which provides feedback to the spark module.

Make sure the igniter is properly aligned with the burner lighting holes and it is clean. All lighting holes must be clean too. You can enlarge them using a drill bit one size bigger.

If it would not fix the problem, replace the bake burner and the igniter.

There is a small chance for the spark module itself to be bad as well.
ELECTRIC OVENS:

CHECK THE OVEN RELAY CONTROL BOARD Aclicking sound could be something wrong with a relay. Check for any loose connections around the main control board on your oven. The click you hear is a relay losing power and switching back on. If the clock resets then something is causing power interruptions to the board.

I have a built in single oven do i need to change the wire when i put in a double oven

In order to answer this question we need to see the power consumption that you will have.

So in general if you use just one of the 2 ovens at any given time (not parallel usage), no need to change it.
But if you plan to use them both in parallel, you have to check the power consumption.
See the table attached: http://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm.

If you cave a cable of 0.2294 inc / 5.82676 mm (most usual case), this cable can carry up to 75Amp. So if you have a 110v power line, this is 75x110=8.2kw.
Check if the sum of your ovens are less than 8.2kw. If so, you are fine. If not, install a 2nd wire.

Feel free to ask more if you know exactly the power consumption of your ovens and the dimensions of your cable.

MICROWAVE OVEN HOW TO USE POWER LEVEL AND COOKING TIME. For example a want to cook pizza what will i use?

We probably need a little more info on your particular oven before suggesting what power levels and times. Do you know the wattage of it i.e 900w?

Does it have presets on it? Your manufacturer may have put auto programs on it to reheat, cook from frozen etc.

Final hint: If you are buying things such as frozen pizza, microwave dinners, the microwave instructions are usually on the box with a recommend time for a particular wattage oven.

Door needs to be closed in cook mode to work. You sure you put the switch in the right way up? Also you could have a dodgy door switch as the cook/cool switch and the door switch operate as a two-way circuit.

We have recently purchased a Coopers halogen oven. I cooked a frozen fruit pie in it and the pastry looked beautiful, but when it was cut open the middle was cold and the pastry under the fruit not cooked....

Frozen food should be defrosted before cooking in halogen ovens.

Halogen ovens use only radiant heat and will not cook the centre of frozen food.
