Try re-seating the ink cartridges and printing a test page. Those were new HP cartridges, right? Not some garbage from a ink cartridge refiller off ebay?
Hello! In order to install your scanner, you need to print a test page. As you need to align the cartridges, you also need to align your scanner. See the printed alignment page for directions on how to complete the alignment process. Basically, all you have to do is put the test page in the scanner and press scan.
If the tray is similar to a Officejet PRO 8000 that I have,REMOVE the stack of paper, bring the adjustable guide walls towards
the center, and you should be able to print envelopes.
