Question about Lexmark X2500 All-In-One Printer
Try this. Shut down the PC, UNPLUG the USB cable to the printer. (& anything else USB too) Restart, Now Shutdown again. now, Restart, NOW plug in your printer, It should now be "Detected" and should work. If still no go. Try removing the entire USB layer from Device manager & reboot. This will re-set the USB layer back to a "Blank Canvas" so to speak, NOW, reinstall the software, THEN & only then, plug in your printer. it will/should be detected and do it's thing and now should work.
