Hello
Try this.
Unplug usb key board.start pc.plug usb keyboard in.should work.

Try reinstalling usb drivers or chipset drivers for motherboard if above does not work.

New system. Cannot enter bios with F2 key, apparently keyboard is not working, but works well in another computer. I tried bios switches 1_2 default and 2_3. With 1_2 it goes directly to PXE_E61 error,...

hallo there, tried the DEL key? (instead of the F2, some Bios of them use older input for F2, DEL sends same key. )
Also, please count how many short, how many long beeps mopbo gives when booting.
Also: try to connect with PS2 keyboard. Possible no correct keyboard connection or even worse, when its a wireless keyboard need tyo pair keyboard with receiver first.
Also possible: is the keyboard not IBM compatible?
As said: try first to use default PS2 keyboard, theyre cheap and most of the times problem is directly solved.
If that does not solve your problem, count the beep codes and tell us please, could be some other problem, ( wrong memory, memory not placed correct, voltage problems etc etc etc)
the bios codes would help us to help you fasst.

no keyboard detected. fatal error... system halted = your keyboard is dead, replace it. If you get the same message after a new keyboard then the PS2 connector is dead, you will have to use an USB keyboard.

Boots to a blue screen but does not recognise the keyboard you have the option for esc f1 or f10 but unable to do anything since you can not use the keyboard. I have tried a usb and ps2 keyboards

As per your description, if I am not wrong, your bios screen comes ok but the blue screen comes when the actual Operating System loads.

This shouldn't happen with a PS2 (the green round pin - to be fitted in green socket only) keyboard. If it does, then you have problem with the motherboard.

But, if you have a USB keyboard, try putting the keyboard in bottom part of USB(Port 12 - as shown in the picture), next to VGA connector.

You may also need to enable USB Keyboard Support from the BIOS - which can be done by pressing "Del" key at the startup. - and save it by pressing F10 - and exiting BIOS.

Keyboard is not working during boot up. So cant boot from a CD. What possibly could be the problem.

1. Always start tapping any key when you see logo of the manufacture like Dell, HP.
2. If it all does not work, Go to bios(It depends upon the manufacture, try F2 or F1 or Del at the startup) and make CD-ROM as the first boot device. Note:As soon as you see manufacturer logo start tapping, F2 or F1 or Del key to go to bios.
3. If you have a wireless keybord, try to use a wired keyboard.

Mouse and keyboard not working on it(asus a8n-e)

1)Make sure the jumper that resets the board, is on the right position based on manual.
2)Reset memory stick(s)
If this does not work, try using USB keyboard and mouse.

How to correct Keyboard Error Press F1 to

Depending on the age of the computer, it may not recognize a USB based keyboard.

Your other option is to plug the keyboard into another computer to ensure that it is working properly.

System wont boot

Disconnect all devices except keyboard and mouse and master cd or DVD. unplug then hit power button. Plug back in. Hit power and hopefully you get to BIOS. If you do make sure you save the BIOS before you leave to start OS. Keep me informed and I'll keep checking your listing to see if its working or not.

Soyo KT400L-2AA5 Motherboard - CMOS checksum error - Defaults loa

This message is usually accompanied by another more explicit, like: "Memory changed from 1GB to 2GB. Press F1 to continue". The message should display and go away after pressing F1. Since you cannot press F1 because the keys do nothing, chances are your keyboard is disconnected, which should display a message indicating this failure.
Try pressing the ScrLk (Scroll Lock) key as messages are being displayed to catch all
messages (they go by quickly) and stop them before they disappear.
If that's the case, then reconnect the keyboard and try again.
Good luck!

Press DEL to enter setup and set Reset to Defaults in Exit menu. If you have USB keyboard, make sure you enable Legacy USB and USB keyboard settings, save and exit and reboot.

Bios does not find PS2 keyboard/mouse

Did you go into the BIOS and set it to recognize the USB Keyboard after you reset the BIOS? Is windows not noticing it or the BIOS. You stated that it recognized the USB keyboard and then said that it did not.
What does all of this mean? USB keyboard does not activate "del" setup.

If it does not work, it is because you reset the BIOS and did not change the settings back for the USB keyboard.

I hope that I fixed your problem.
