Question about Champion International Air Tools & Compressors

Champion hra15-12 stopped working checked and reset low oil shutdown will not start up reset on definite purpose control does not help but button above that inside cover will run compressor as long as button is depressed. Is it a possible pressure switch problem?

Problem is in switch, could be from water in the diaphragm especially in cold weather....

Champion 3500 generator how to fix stuck float


It could be a carburetor problem or it may be the low oil cut off switch. Check to make sure oil level is up. If it is check the needle valve attached to the float and the seat. The old carbs used to have a brass seat. Some of the new carbs have a rubber seat and it may need to be replaced. Hope this helps.

My lancer gts 08 was marking check oil so i put 2 pints because it was low when i was driving the light came back up i have heard that sometimes you need.to reset so i keep.driving and then the car...

Just had my oil changed and the check engine oil level low light is coming on . But checked it and it's not low , just on the full mark . It comes on everytime I restart the car . how do I fix that ?After...


You have to reset the check engine oil level light. The light is just a 3 month reminder that lets you know when to change your oil. You have to hold the reset button on your dash for more then 5 to 10 sec. The procedure is in the owners manual that came with the car.

What is meant by error code SC 403


From the service manual:
SC403: Transfer belt position sensor error

-Definition-
The transfer belt position sensor does not activate even if the transfer belt clutch has rotated once.

- Possible causes -
• Main motor/drive malfunction
• Transfer belt position sensor defective
• Poor transfer belt position sensor connection

According to the manual, provided there isn't a major problem with the machine, you can reset the service code by turning off the MAIN POWER switch for a 10-seconds and then turning it back on. This should reset the code provided the problem doesn't reoccur. NOTE: The main power switch is a rocker switch on the front or left side of the machine, not a push-button switch up on the control panel.

Probably not a big help, but hopefully at least a little. I can't offer you much better advice, as I don't work on machines of this age, sorry.

Car shuts off when I stop


Try cleaning the two cross wires inside the mass air flow sensor. (use Q-tip and carb cleaner) It is also possible that your oil pressure switch has a low pressure cutoff feature. If the pressure is low at normal idle, it will shut the engine down. Check oil pressure with a mechanical gauge and if it's good change the sending unit. (check to see if voltage flow through switch stops just at shutdown first though)

Cleaning the brushes is used to address an AC output problem. If the generator would run for a few seconds after letting go of the button, then this might apply.

But, since yours is dying as soon as you let go of the button, that tells me that you are probably looking at a low oil condition, or a sensor / sending unit failure for oil level.

Without spec number, hard to remember if the sending unit is for low oil pressure, or low oil level. Either way, the ignition is being grounded. First, double check your oil level, make sure generator is reasonably level. If still not resolved, then locate the sending unit, and remove the wire that is on the end of it. There should be a connector either a few inches from the sending unit, or a few inches from the control board (coming from big white plug). Disconnect at either place. Try starting again. If it starts this time, double check oil levels. If those are fine, then sending unit has failed, or oil pump (if pressure unit) has failed. In either case, don't run for very long until sending unit is replaced, just in case.

I suspect you may have either overfilled the sump or used the wrong viscosity oil, may have splashed up onto valves and patially jammed one open.
