You may have the HDMI setting on. If you do not have HDMI then the screen will be black. Check your connections, and your resolutions, then look at the manual.

Playing MLB the Show on PS3. Game loads fine, franchise I've been playing loads fine. But once I try to play a game, bar starts as game loads then game cuts off and goes to main PS3 screen.

Is your CD dirty or does it have any cracks? It might just be the problem. Otherwise, it could be corrupt game data. Clean the disc, if it still doesn't work I'd try deleting the game utility data and re-downloading it. Hope this helps in some way or another.

I what to know how to put internet on my wii

From the wii home menu...

Go to Wii Options in the lower left.

Click on Wii Settings to the right.

From this first list, click the right arrow.

Now on page 2, click on Internet.

Then click Connection Settings.

From this list, click Connection 1.
Then, click Wireless Connection...

and then click Search for an Access Point.

It will briefly search for any access points and when this screen comes up, click OK.

The following will be a list of nearby access points. If the one you are looking for doesn't show up, click Try again. Then, click the one you have access to...

When the following screen appears, click OK...
and OK again.

It will test the connection...

And if successful, the following will drop down. Click Yes to update Wii.

Sometimes the above screen is false, saying there is an update when there isn't and the following will appear...

Now, back in Wii System Settings, click on WiiConnect24.

From the following list click WiiConnect24.

Click On and then Confirm to save your settings. This feature allows for updates to be seemlessly sent to your Wii so you don't have to do the final step every time.

Ok, the final step, just as a way to make sure your Wii is up to date. Click the right arrow from the 2nd page of Wii System Settings.

Click Wii System Update...

click yes...

it will test your connection for a few seconds...

an update screen may quickly come up and tell you there is an update (whether or not your Wii actually needs one)

and the following screen will appear. Click Wii Menu to finish.

Hey, Firstly make sure all the plugs and cables have been plugged in (Securely) after this turn the power off by the mains then back on. If this does not sort out the problem take it back to the shop and ask the tech support for advise. :)

Can i connect a pc to a wii to view pc screens a my tv

Instructions things you'll need:
  • Wireless router
    • 1 Determine if your Internet connection is compatible with the Wii's online console features. If you are using a dial-up connection you will not be able to connect to the Internet through the Wii console. The best connectivity is with a cable, DSL or fiber-optic connection.
    • 2 Start up your Wii. Go to the main menu. Click on the Wii icon button on the bottom left side of the screen.
    • 3 Select the "Wii Settings" button with a wrench icon. Go to the "Wii System Settings" menu.
    • 4 Click on the arrow on the right side of the screen to scroll to page two of the settings. Click on the "Internet" tab.
    • 5 Select "Connection Settings" from the menu that appears. Your screen should show three connection slots all saying "none" next to them. Select "Connection 1."
    • 6 Choose "Wireless Connection" from the pop-up screen. A new screen will appear that reads "Search for an Access Point," "Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector," and "Manual Setup." The easiest way to set up the Wii online is to select "Search for an Access Point."
    • 7 Wait a moment for your Wii to find an access point. When the words "Choose the access point you want to connect to" appear on your screen, click "OK."
    • 8 Pick your access point. Choose the point that is listed with a green signal strength icon.
    • 9 Save the settings by clicking "OK." Your Wii console will perform a test. A window will pop up asking you to perform a Wii system update.
    • 10 Complete the system update. Read and agree to the "User Agreements." You should be able to view movies, TV shows, websites, news and games from your PC on your TV.

My dad came back from Iraq with a ps3 and it won't show up on the tv (av cables) we tried it on an hdmi that didn't work we also tried holding the power button down that dident work so can you tell me...

Even though your PS3 was bought in a country that uses a different TV system than the North American system, it will not effect your ability to use it. The PS3 was made to be used with the HDTV format which is universal regardless of which country you are in. The problem you are experiencing has to be either the inputs of your TV, or an issue with the PS3.

If you are already using other hardware with your TV, such as a DVD player, and you are able to use those inputs, then we can eliminate the TV. That would mean there is something wrong with the PS3. If the PS3 is starting up normally, and your power light is not blinking (which is a built in diagnostic program), then there may be an issue with the outputs of the PS3. If the cables you have tried to use with the PS3 work on other units then we can eliminate that issue. The problem would then be the internal components of the PS3. Try this;

1) Press and hold the power button long enough for it to power on and then off again.

2) When it goes off press and hold the power button again until you hear 2 beeps. As soon as you hear those 2 beeps immediately let go of the power button.

3) At this point you should get a display and the system will ask you to connect the controller.

4) Plug in the controller and you should then see a menu on the screen like this:

  1. Restart System: Restarts the PLAYSTATION 3 System.
  2. Restore Default Settings: Reset all system settings back to default.
  3. Restore File System: Checks for corrupt/missing system files.
  4. Rebuild Database: Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION 3.
  5. Restore PS3 System: Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch.
  6. System Update: Update the PLAYSTATION 3 System
If you are able to see this menu try each of the items and then check to see if your system will start normally. DO NOT GO ANY FURTHER DOWN THE LIST IF ONE OF THE CHOICES RESOLVES YOUR ISSUE. Depending on how far down the list you go you may lose any saved information such as games or scores.

If you are not able to see the menu at all then your problem is internal to the components. At that point you will have to take your PS3 to a repair center and have them take a look at it. Ask them to give you a quote before they fix anything as the repair may end up costing you more than what your Dad paid for the unit.

My tv-screen is black. Seems there is no connection from the console. Brand new PS3. I might have used the main power switch when system was not at stand by. Is there a way to reset the system to...

I had this same problem but was finally able to fix it (immediately after I posted about it) by keeping my finger on the button until after the second beep.  I had tried this a couple of times before but it turns out I was keeping my finger on there too long.  Try lifting your finger right after the second beep.  You'll need to have a controller connected via a cable, as well.
We had to choose RESTORE PS3 SYSTEM from the options menu. If you choose this you will lose all saved  settings and data.  My husband is going through the new setup process now.  We tried a couple of the other less drastic options from the menu at first, but they didn't work.  After we chose the Restore PS3 System, it took a minute or two for anything to show up on the screen, but it was our last try before taking it in to a pro, so we tried to be patient let it do it's thing and it eventually came up on the screen.
We only got the system a couple of weeks ago and are very casual game players so it didn't bother us to lose saved data, but it is a pain in the **** redoing the setup.  I just hope this isn't a re-occurring problem.
Hope this helps, good luck.
