You may have the HDMI setting on. If you do not have HDMI then the screen will be black. Check your connections, and your resolutions, then look at the manual.

I have a 2005 Ford Freestar Van. The DVD player just quit working, appears it may not be getting any power to it. The manual doesnt have anything about the dvd player even being in the van. I was going to...

The manual shows several fuses for the radio/tape/cd players.
It doesn't show anything for a dvd player but i would think it would use the same power feed as the other. In thepassenger compartment take a look at fuse number 5 and 11 and 20. if they are all ok then in the power distribution box under the hood look at fuse number 56, 59 and 62. Fuse number 62 is the listed as the dvd fuse. However the systems use multiple fuses so that parts of have power all the time, Such as the clock and alarm systems must have power all the time in order to work.
Now not all of the fuses I have listed may be being used but these are all the ones listed for all the different sound systems used.
If all the fuses are good you may have to remove the player and look for a manual release to open it.

Missing bdfdll.sys

Hi! Welcome to FixYA!
File bdfdll.sys is located in a subfolder of "C:\Program Files". Known file sizes on Windows XP are 8,704 bytes (61% of all occurrence), 7,808 bytes. However, some malware camouflage themselves as bdfdll.sys, particularly if they are located in c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 folder. So I suggest you run a full scan.If that doesn't work , you may try doing a system retore to bring the computer back in time when the issue is not yet present. For Windows XP:
1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore.
2. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click to select the Restore my computer to an earlier time option, and then click Next.
3. On the Select a Restore Point page, click the most recent system restore point in the On this list, click a restore point list, and then click Next.
Note A System Restore message may appear that lists configuration changes that System Restore will make. Click OK.
4. On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click Next. System Restore restores the previous Windows XP configuration, and then restarts the computer.
5. Log on to the computer as an Administrator. Then click OK on the System Restore Restoration Complete page.

For Vista or 7:
1. From within Windows, you can just type restore into the Start menu search box, and you'll immediately see System Restore at the top of the start menu:
2. Then please follow the on-screen instructions.

Hope this helps.

How do I logon as administer

Hi,

The built-in Administrator account is hidden from Welcome Screen when a user account with Administrator privileges exists and enabled. In Windows XP Home Edition, you can login as built-in Administrator in Safe Mode only. For XP Professional, press CTRL + ALT + DEL twice at the Welcome Screen and input your Administrator password in the classic logon window that appears.
To have the Administrator account displayed in the Welcome Screen, try one of these methods:
Method 1: Using TweakUI Power Toy for Windows XP Download TweakUI from here: v2.00 for Windows XP | v2.10 for XP SP1 and above
Open TweakUI and click "Logon" option in the left pane. Put a checkmark against the option "Show Administrator on Welcome Screen". Click OK to close TweakUI. Logoff and see if Welcome Screen lists Administrator login. Changes are immediate and you can use the Winkey + L to switch back to Welcome Screen to see Administrator account is listed.
Use this procedure to hide/unhide any user account from the Welcome Screen. Please remember, you can still login to a hidden account using CTRL+ALT+DEL classic logon method, but cannot Fast User Switch to a hidden user account.
Method 2 - Manual registry edit
  • Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe
  • Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ SpecialAccounts \ UserList
  • Use the File, Export option to backup the key
  • Create a new DWORD Value named Administrator
  • Double-click Administrator, and set 1 as its data
  • Exit the Registry Editor.
For Windows XP Home Edition While you can configure Windows XP Home Edition to show Administrator account in the Welcome Screen, you cannot login as Administrator in Normal mode. Visit the following link for more information:
Error Message: Unable to Log You on Because of an Account Restriction

Please post your feedback and Vote if the problem resolved as per your satisfaction.

It may have the latest firmware already on it. To reset your Sansa Mp3 player2_bing.gif.1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds. 2. Release the Power switch. 3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly.
If that does not get your player working again, try and Format to clear any corrupt files that may be present.
You will lose all your music - sorry. For the Sansa Clip: 1. From the Main Menu, in the player -> select Settings -> Format. 2. Select Yes.
You can also format using Media Player2_bing.gif if you have unfrozen your player.1. ->start Media PlayerIf you have Media Player 10 --- Connect the Sansa player to the PC in MTP (See next step to change to MTP mode) .
1. Turn the player OFF. 2. Slide the Hold switch down to Lock (orange color showing). 3. Press and hold the center button while connecting the player to the PC with the USB cable. once you have done that...

VHS won't play

If it's showing a welcome screen, the DVD is on. The VHS won't show a welcome screen. Some machines are a little tricky because they want to start in the DVD mode. I would concentrate in that area.
