unfortunately the password for the volume lock is whatever you set it as but you can do this. Plug in your iPod and iTunes will open ( or open it youself)Select all you songs by clicking ctrl and A. (PC's: Ctrl and A at the same time. Mac's: Apple and A at the same time.) Right click your songs. Click "Get Info" Click "Yes" Click the "Options" tab Check "Volume Adjustment" Put the Curser all the way to "+100%". Select Ok! Hidden Folder for Mac's Enable hidden folders. If you go into Terminal and run these two commands all the hidden files appear when you open Finder. defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE killall Finder To get back to hiding hidden files use these commands defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE killall Finder Navigate to the hidden folder named "iPod_Control", and once there click on the folder "Device". Once there, delete the file named "_volumelocked". Eject your iPod. Then, restart your iPod. You can do this by holding down the center and menu button for at least 6 seconds. Once your iPod has rebooted, check and make sure that it worked. Simply go into "Settings", "Volume Limit". If it asks for a PIN, you did it WRONG. Retry the above procedure.
Hidden folders for windows PC Enable hidden folders. In Windows explorer,go to "Tools", "Folder Options". Then click on the tab called "View", and under "Hidden Files and Folders", click "Show Hidden Files and Folders". Navigate ("My Computer" to double-click on the icon of your attached iPod) to the hidden folder named "iPod_Control", and once there click on the folder "Device". Once there, copy the file named "_volumelocked" to a folder on your hard drive then delete it from the iPod. Eject your iPod. Then, restart your iPod. You can do this by holding down the center and menu button for at least 6 seconds. If using an iPod Nano, hold down the center button and menu button simultaneously for about 10 seconds. Once your iPod has rebooted, check and make sure that it worked. Simply go into "Settings", "Volume Limit". If it asks for a PIN, you did it WRONG. Retry the above procedure.
Warning: Note that some methods may not work on all iPods. Not all ipods have the file called "_volumelocked" it is impossible to get better sound on some of the ipod gens, for example the 5g 60-80 gigabyte ipods. Don't Listen to music too loudly. It will destroy your hearing. Don't delete any more files than necessary as it may prevent your iPod from working

I cant get my Gaggia Classic to work with pods

You need to use the single-serving size one-hole basket, not the double, with the diffuser valve seated beneath the basket. Then the Illy ese pod should be inserted with the decal facing up. Finally, and most importantly, when you lock the filter assembly into the machine, you need to close it firmly. Brown water can mean that the basket assembly is not sealed in tight enough.

I suspect your volume limit has been set low so go to settings and then volume limit. Use the click wheel to select your maximum volume.

The volume control is locked

The ONLY way to resolve this issue is to restore using iTunes. iTunes will restore the iPod. It is recommended to only have one iPod connected to one computer at a time. Also shairring your library should not cause the iTunes to not restore your iPod. If you are not wanting to restore the iPod due to not wanting to loose music, you will have to choose between unlocking the volume limit and keeping music.

I can't turn up the volume and i don't have the owners manual

The clickwheel controls the volume - you have to run your finger counter-clockwise while a song is playing.

Here is the manual:

The volume is not loud enough on my i-pod classic

There is a volume limiter under "settings", check to be sure its turned all the way up (you actually have to click the center button to save). Also you will find "Sound Check" being turned on greatly reduces volume.

I pod nano pink

There is no unlock for the volume. There is a volume limit which is based in settings, so try that and turn it all the way up. If you still have no sound, try using a sound device with a docking bay. If there is sound it means that you're headphone/hold cable is faulty, otherwise, if there is no sound from headphones or by docking then there is a fault with your logic board.
