Okay well I have both Catz5 and Dogz5. Well it's been running just find up until now. For some reason it just loads about almost all the way and then stops. After that I ctrl alt delete and it tells me that it is not responding. I have no idea what happened. It was working just fine up until now.
This has happened to me too. Okay what you need to do is go into Program Files > Ubi Soft > Petz 5 > Adopted Petz. There is probably a file in there with the name of a Petz that hasn't left it's mother yet. Delete that file - don't worry, you will not lose the baby - and try reloading the game again. It works for me every time.

Unistall, click 'no' to 'do you want to save your petz' You will lose all ur petz, but.. ts thw only way i know that works..
Reinstall, and play the game from My Computor, Petz. play. You will need to have ur disk in whenever you want to play.
Hope i helped
Im not sure what you could do about the first half of your problem, but i think i know a way that might fix the second bit.
Uninstall, and click no, i dont want to save my petz, and then continue w/ the uninstalling (and hope it works :p)
when thats finished, install again, and play the game from My Computor, Petz, and play.
hope it workz
Dogz and Catz 5 both seem to have alot of problems! Disk space means you dont have enough room to copy it onto your computer, I would suggest deleting some downloaded things (nothing important though, you dont want to mess up your computer, lol)
First check if the cd is dirty, scratched or damaged. If this is the case then you can try polishing the scratches out with a soft cloth and liquid metal polish (only polish the side away from the foil/label and try to only polish the scratched area) don't worry about removing scratches completely - start with the worst, then try the disk again - it might just work.
If this doesn't help then try the disk in another machine or another disk drive. if it now seems to work then although your drive may seem to work on other things it is probably getting tired.
I am assuming that you purchased the game and have a legal copy. If not then that is likely to be the problem as the software protection will not allow you to play the game without the correct CD. If you downloaded the file for the Dogz part, try burning it to CD as an image file (Check your burning software for details) and try running the game with that in the drive.
If that doesn't work, then you are able to disable the CD protection file yourself if you have purchased the game so you don't have to have a CD in each time you want to play.
and search for dogz or petz and download the appropriate crack for your version.
find the install directory where the game is installed(usually c:\program files\ubisoft\petz) and then copy the crack into this directory, and say yes when it asks if you wish to replace the slightly larger file - now the game should work.
Please ask for more details if you are unsure how to proceed with this and I am happy to oblige.
