Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KD-36FS130 36" TV
I dont know the exact model number, but it is a 27" flat tube tv with no HD. Long story short, my daughter was pushing buttons when noone was around, as it is in her playroom. When I came in, the tv was stuck on video 1 and the volume indicator was on the screen (it stays on the screen at all times) with the volume being at the lowest setting. When I tried shutting the tv off it would not turn off either with remote or front panel buttons. I can not get the volume to go up and I can not get it out of video 1 either. I left it unplugged for 3 months hoping it would reset itself since it seems unresponsive to all buttons on remote and front panel. Please help, what can I do???
It looks like one of the buttons on the front panel is stuck, base on the info you have provided; the volumen down button is stuck. The remote or any other buttons will not be operative until the fault has been remove.
I would suggest to try to press the Vol. down a few times just to see of it unlocks, if that does not work, the front panel assembly will have to be remove and try again if it works with the remote or manually.
The last thing to do if none of the above works, it will be to put a new switch.
