Question about Acer TravelMate 291LCi Notebook
Hardware issue by the sounds. or possibly driver if its only doing it in windows.
If it is a HP or compaq with an nVidia mobile GPU, they can overheat and pop-off the motherboard causing unepairable damage: this is a known issue with a lot of models, I advise calling HP (if you have one) and ask about the extended warranty.
If it isnt a HP, then you can do one of two things:
if the screen does this as SOON as the laptop is turned on: replace the screen and hope for the best
or get a new laptop (easiest if you're not too tech savy)
if its windows only, reinstall windows. if it still does it, then previous suggestion applies.
