Question about Honeywell Programmable Thermostat Heater
I replaced the battery to honeywell RTH230B. The heat won't turn on. We then reset our heating unit pilot light. The heat turned on after resetting the heating unit pilot light, but this morning the heat did not turn on even though we programmed the thermostat to have heat turned on. We don't know if we did something wrong when we replaced the battery.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Honeywell thermostat RTH230B
After several months of calling Honeywell (actually someone in India), I found what seems to be the solution. I think I became such a pest (they had a lot of complains from me in their record) that they put me on hold and called someone at Honeywell Corp. The solution was to "reset the microchip". You do this by holding down the "Mode" button and while holding it down, take the batteries out for a couple of seconds (still holding down the Mode button) and then put the batteries back in and release the Mode button. 10 days have passed and it has been working perfectly. Hope this doesn'f jinx it! Good luck.

There are so many products, we cannot help without the model no. Try typing 'Honeywell programmable electronic thermostat' into google and searching for an image of your thermostat, then get the model no. Then you might be able to get some help.

Sounds like a relay sticking. Possibly in the thermostat or possibly the furnace relay at the furnace. The next time it happens, unplug the thermostat from the wall. If the furnace still runs then it's the furnace relay.
Hope that helps...

Do you have an Rh and Rc terminal on t'stat and do you have 4 wires coming into it?
If you do then you need to put a jumper wire from Rh toRc.
