Waring Pro WC1000: Pour over 12 cup coffee maker

I need replacement carafes model # WC1000CF.
Where can I get them in Vancouver BC and is there an alternate carafe I can use like th Cuisinart 12 cup?

Do you know if the Cusinart carafes are interchangeable?

I checked out the website and they do have it but it's in the USA, I'm in Canada and I need them in 2 days and not sure they would arrive in time.

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

I need a new carafe for my machine but live in North Wales, UK????

  • 51sunshine Mar 23, 2009

Well we currently have 2, but are you near Vancouver, if I want to get them?

  • 51sunshine Mar 23, 2009

Yes, it would be too expensive to ship. I did find a store in Chinatown that had 2 instock when I needed them. We will upgrade to a plumbed in coffee maker in the future. Bu if I need a replacement pot before then I think I'll try a Cuisinart caraf, I can always return it if it dosen't work.

I have a Capresso EspressoPro Model 112 that is leaking badly during the brew phase from where the Porta filtre seals with the inner screen surface. Where can this machine be serviced in Vancouver?

    Thankyou

I may have 2 for you. I have a unit brand new but it won't heat but the carafes are in mint shape.
Do you still need them ?

I am in Ottawa - We could Puro them but the cost would be silly for 2 day I am sure

GIven that machine does not have an Auto off when you pull it out (I don't think it does) any carafe should work if it lines up ok.

PS if they don't work and you want these for later let me know. If I ship em Post it will take a week but will be cheaper and get there.

Thanks, I did find 2 in a store in Vancouver's Chinatown, but I think they were the only ones in town. It appears the only difference between the Waring Pro and Cuisinart is the lid and the lid looks to be interchangeable.

You sould not be able to get replacements sooner, because they just are not available anywhere except by ordering.

My Waring Pro Coffee maker leaks water out of the bottom. In the morning when I get in I have to clean up the leak. Is this repairable?

When you pour water into the screen area it travels toward the back of the unit and drops through a rubber gasket/cup to be heated/processed. I have the same problem and while I bought another WC1000 I took my old one apart. By turning it over and removing 4 recessed screws you can carefully lift the top off (carefully because wiring is attached). However, you can now access the rubber gasket/cup. Doing this I found that mine was torn which I must assume is the cause of the leaking problem. Now if anyone knows where I can get a replacement rubber gasket/cup or a part number I would appreciate it.

Broke glass carraffe, need to replace model 169164

I replaced my broken carafe on model: 169164 by purchasing a RIVAL 12 cup coffee maker PIL-HC08104 from WalMart for $10.24 and simply put my black handles on the new pot whaic had white handles. The pot appear to be exactly the same.

Water leaking out the bottom of the coffee maker

If it leaks DURING brewing, you may have to decalcify it (aka, run through a cycle of 4 cups vinegar, fill to the top with water, 2-3 times and see if it helps).
If it leaks before you even start brewing a pot of coffee, something is broken on the inside of the coffee maker, and I would recommend contacting Waring--they may be able to get you a replacement coffee maker (and if you're under warranty, usually a replacement would be free!).

Their phone number (according to their website, www.waringproducts.com ) is 1-800-4WARING (1-800-492-7464)

Good luck! :)

We have a waring pro wc1000 coffee maker and it just started taking forever to brew a pot of coffee. How can we fix it?

If you've never done a decalcification, do one. A decalcification basically means that you're running vinegar and water through your coffee maker to get rid of calcium build up, which can cause your coffee maker to run very slowly, or not at all.

You always want to do a "1/3 white vineger to 2/3 water" solution--meaning that if you have a 10 cup coffee maker, you want to fill it 1/3 of the way up with vinegar (3 cups), the rest with water. If you have a 12 cup coffee maker, you want to do 4 cups of vinegar, fill it the rest with water. And yes, it DOES have to be white vinegar--the other vinegar types don't do anything for calcium ;)

You basically just brew the vinegar/water though your coffee maker, and you might have to do it 2-3 times before it will be completely fixed--most companies recommend that you run the vinegar/water through your coffee maker once ever 1 to 2 months to prevent things like this from happening, so if it's already happening, you may have to do it more.

And always remember--after you brew a pot of vinegar/water through your coffee maker, brew a regular pot of plain water through it afterwards, or your coffee will taste like vinegar! lol

If all else fails, you can always contact Waring customer support - their phone number (according to their website, www.waringproducts.com ) is 1-800-4WARING (1-800-492-7464)

Good luck! :)

Carafe lid

This puzzled us as well when we purchased ours. If you look at the top of the handle there are two little pieces that stick out on both sides. Lift these straight up and the lid will pop off.

Try plugging it into another GFI outlet. If it still trips, it's a problem with the coffee maker wiring and is cheaper to replace it than fit it.

A short condition has severed a conductor wire inside the coffee maker. Seems to be a common problem with coffee makers as the wires are in close proximity to heating devices.
