Your hard drive may fail soon, so you should think about making a backup copy of the disk.

I agree, pretty much if you get ANY S.M.A.R.T. error at all, it means something on the device is failing and you should just replace the whole device ASAP. as to why they bother to give a code as to which part is failing i dont know since no one cares about the details, just that they are going to loose all their data if they dont act fast.

Smart failure hard disk 4 :wd1600bevt-222ct0-(si)

The error S.M.A.R.T. refers to Hard Drive hard drive that has detected damage to the disk and failure of the drive is imminent.

If the computer is booting to Windows after the SMART error, then back up all data on the disk immediately. The hard drive will need to be replaced to resolve this issue.

Also, I suggest that you start the Computer to BIOS and check whether the Hard Drive is detected in BIOS.

If the Hard Drive is detected in BIOS, then try to perform reinstalling Windows supplied in your computer once before getting the hard drive replaced.

Your drive is failing and you should back up any important data you need onto CD/DVD or an external USB device (hard drive/pen drive). The drive may keep working for a while but your system is warning you that it has detected a critical error with the drive and failure is imminent.
