Question about Rokinon Cameras

1 Answer

I am having a problem with viewing and retrieving photos. When I go to view or transfer photos, the only ones I can get are the ones just taken. Any previous pictures are blacked out. What is going on?

Hi there,

Well first of all you can tell us the model number of your camera for more help.... anyway it seems that there is some firmware problem or the data card (memory card) that you can use in your camera is corrupted....... so first you can try to format the card and the second you can try to reset your camera to the factory default settings..... Please post comments for more help or information.......

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Model dc164. How do I view photos without memory card?

That model uses a DVDR/RW type discs plus a memory card (SD, MMC or Sony Memory Sticks). To view photos from the disc simply go into view mode and use the joystick to move to the image you want to view. If you want to transfer images you need the USB cable that came with it and the original software to transfer images from the disc. While capturing video you can snap images but only to a memory card/stick. No card/stick while shooting video, then nothing was captured and the only way you can get any images is transferring a frame(s) from the video using the USB cable and their included software.

Here are links to the manufacturer website where you can still download the software that came with that model and a second link to view/save the manual in PDF format. Information to read in the manual are on pages 95 & 108.

Don't know how to transfere photos to p.c.

Buy an inexpensive card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop.

How do I view the photos I have taken

is it internal memory or a memory card?
first thing is to transfer pics to a computer
then delete the one you want
usually you can delete them from the camera by selecting them one at a time and deleting them
but it is nuch easier to just transfer them to a computer then deleting the whole memory card

I have taken several photos with digital camera without inserting the memory card. i can view them but cannot print them.is there a way to retrieve them and transfer them on to the memory card?

Depending on the model camera, go into the menu - either the "play" menu or "setup" menu and you will find a transfer mode if your camera has internal storage for more than one pic. Use that mode to transfer to a card or the computer.

Unable to view the pictures folder

Hi, I got the solution for myself. Initially I have enabled to view the hidden folder option and even then I was not able to see the folder, then later I have disabled the options Hide Extensions for Known file types and Hide Protected Operating system files. Then I could see the folder and able to retrieve the photos. Once I have taken my photos I have formatted my MMC card and it is working normally.

Mavica cd400

To review the picture just taken - seconds; to retrieve from the disk you have to finalize the disk which takes about a minute for a full disk, seconds for a partially filled disk. Then you just put it in your CD-drive and you can view them immediately. If you have Roxio with a CD-RW you may not have to finalize the disk first, and you always have the option to transfer pictures via the USB cable (same as with other digicams).
