How to replace ignitor on coleman furnac evcon model dgato70bdc i have a new ign and i need to know how much of the front of the furnace i need to remove or what part of the front to remove, the gas valve mounting plate or the whole plate that it and the window hole is mounted to ? thanks curtis

    it is a ceramic ignitor part number 1474-0521 it looks like back and forth loop. my ? is how much of the burner asy do i ned to remove. the igh sets back iside the fire box.

Hi some of these you do not have to remove the burner you just indo the hot surface ignitor its black with ceramic base ? if so you remove the metal cover over the burner and swap it out .

Our coleman evcon furnace has started clicking over & over again before it starts up, we replaced the thermostat & the same thing happens.We are afraid that this is hard on the furnace & have resorted to...


Suspect that the igniter is causing the clicking (or could be a relay). Suggest having the furnace serviced. There is also a major recall for some models of the Coleman Evcon furnaces.

How do you replace a pressure switch on a coleman evcon furnace


The pressure switch is mounted with 1/4" or 5/16" self tapping screws and has 2 wires and a rubber tube that attaches to the induced drafts assembly.

Check your gas flow...clean the sensor...and be sure your gas switch is in the right pposition

My coleman Evcon model DGATO70BDC 1994 starts up and then locks out. The pilot lights and then furnace runs for maybe 2-5 minutes and all that is still running is the air chamber fan. I am thinking of just...


Does your furnace have an air flow sensor? Blowing out the lowest tube will sometimes clear it and allow your furnace to operate. Lack of differential pressure across the burner will cause a lockout.
