Dyson 33 not sucking up good anymore -how can I fix this?

If the suction is good it could be the brush roll is not doing it's job. If the bristles are worn or frayed or the belt is slipping your vacuum may work ok on hard surface floors but will not do a good job when vacuuming carpets. Your model has two belts in the clutch assembly. When these belts lose elasticity the belts will slip rather than turning the brush roll at the proper speed when vacuuming carpets. The carpet fibers create a lot of resistance to the brush roll so a belt that appears good may not be working properly when used to vacuum carpeted floors even if the vacuum has great suction. I would recommend replacing the brushroll if needed and the belts or the clutch assembly.

No, Replacing the belt is one of the maintenance things you can do without voiding your warranty.

Do you have a place to buy one, or would you need me to find a website for you online?

I was replacing the belt on my Eureka Smartvac 4870 and one of the felt gaskets (or part of it) popped out. I thought I put it in correctly, but the first I used it after replacing the belt, the gasket got...

I'm no expert but if you mean the felt on the roller, you have to replace the roller (expensive, esp. for such a minor part). So. I found some felt with adhesive in the craft section at Wal-Mart, trimmed it to fit and done deal. Felt reduces friction.

My filter queen majestic needs help

Try replacing the belt. It's not a difficult procedure, just unplug the machine, turn it over, remove the two screws which hold the chrome plate on and you will see the belt. Take the roller brush out by pulling up on one side, then remove it from it's housing. Then you will see what will probably be a worn out belt, rough on the inside and stretched. Replace the belt making sure to rotate the roller to ensure proper alignment. Then replace the chrome plate, and plug it in.

How to for Belt replacement and solution to suction loss

You say it lost its suction, then you also say this is plenty of suction power, seems you cant figure out the prob. Try cleaning the fan on the suction blower. The blades can get chocked with dust which will give you a reduced suction.
