I have a 60 inch tv and i have white dots on the screen

that is what we call dead pixel, you can remove this by following the steps below.
  1. Turn off your tv.
  2. Get yourself a damp cloth, so that you don't scratch your screen.
  3. Apply pressure to the area where the dead pixel is. Do not put pressure anywhere else, as this may make more dead pixels.
  4. While applying pressure, turn on your tv screen.
  5. Remove pressure and the dead pixel should be gone. This works as the liquid in the liquid crystal has not spread into each little pixel. This liquid is used with the backlight on your monitor, allowing different amounts of light through which give off different colours.
    Hope this helps.

Mitsubishi TV Screen Water Stain Problem

You can use warm water and a soft cloth to try and clean it, but it will probably leave some evidence that liquid existed between the two layers at some point. Mitsubishi will deal screens directly to their customers if you ask nice enough and are willing to install yourself.

The liquid in my mitsubishi rear projection tv just came out of no where once i started to unscrew one of the color tubes...... does this sound right or make any sense??

Yes it does, you should not unscrew the red screws only the gold ones in the corners of the tube.
What is the symptom of the problem that you are having.
You will need to ensure that all of the liquid is off of the circuit boards as soon as possible as it will wick under the IC's on the board and quickly ruin them.

Please let me know if you need more help or assistance.

Video is double and no sound

This model TV is known for coolant leakage from the picture tubes. If this is your problem you will find liquid on the circuit board by removing the back panel. The spilled liquid causes a plethora of problems depending on where the liquid collects on the circuit board.
Also possible convergence IC failure.

How to replace projection lights in 42' TV?

Hello mdmaxwell,

The CRTs are usually what they call a matched set, meaning if you replace one you should replace them all this is going to cost you about at least $400.00. The liquid you felt was coolent for the blue tube, by the way I hope you cleaned your hands after touching that stuff it is a kin to glycoalochol which is poison. I would suggest as a place to begin to look for the part or parts (I suggest replacing all three CRTs to manitain the matched abilities of the tubes).

I hope this helps
Thank you,

Corroded Board

The best place for board repair or replace is PTS 1-800-844-7871 Yes you would need to fill the CRT's fluid level back up. The liquid is Glycnol(Liquid anti-freeze) Poisonious yes is swallowed! So take precautions. You can get if from places like MCM electronics, Tritronics,, etc. It's called CRT coolant fluid. Yes and you would need to fix leak, probably a gasket or seal. Hope this helps!
